Chapter 13 Jujubes
It was midday, and the intense sunlight broke through all the barriers to reach the ground.
Animals and unknown insects all sought places to hide.
Having lived in the dark, damp forest for too long, they no longer like sunlight.
This period, however, greatly helped Ruan Mianmian. She kept sifting through the map, trying to find a safe place for the orcs to live.
Unfortunately, after looking for a long time, she didn't find anything safe, but she did find a lot of food.
Following the stream downstream for about twenty minutes, Ruan Mianmian noticed that the trees not far away were covered with dark red fruits.
She hadn't eaten a single piece of fruit since that glass of orange juice on the plane, so seeing it now filled her with ecstatic joy.
After rushing over, she looked up at the fruit weighing down the branches and realized that it wasn't fruit at all, but red dates!

Without a second thought, she scrambled up the tree in a few quick movements. She grabbed a fruit, wiped it on her clothes, and popped it into her mouth, instantly filling it with crisp, sweet juice.
It's delicious!
She calls this apple-sized red date a "fruit date." It has the texture of an apple, the flavor of a red date, and is very juicy!
After quickly finishing the jujubes in her hand, Ruan Mianmian started picking more, putting them into her storage space as she went.
After this system update, the storage space can now preserve food, so she's no longer worried about picking too much fruit and it spoiling. If she could, she'd pick all the fruit from this tree.
The system heard her thoughts and couldn't help but chime in, saying, "Host, once I have enough energy and have fully upgraded, there should be a one-time collection function."
Hearing the system suddenly speak, Ruan Mianmian was startled. But after hearing the system's explanation, she was so excited she almost fell off the tree!
"System, do you mean I can collect all the fruit from a tree into my spatial storage in one go?"

She hadn't gone far when she came across another mushroom patch, but the huge, umbrella-shaped mushrooms blocked her way.
Ruan Mianmian had long been able to distinguish the types of mushrooms and whether they were poisonous, and now, looking at the mushrooms scattered on the ground, she couldn't move her feet.
She hummed, "The little girl picking mushrooms, carrying a big bamboo basket on her back..."
Then, she collected all kinds of mushrooms, including yellow mushrooms, chanterelles, green-headed mushrooms, and matsutake mushrooms.
The joy of mushroom picking is something most people can't understand!
As she continued walking, she discovered many unidentified fruits that had been gnawed on by small animals.
Because she didn't recognize the fruit, she didn't dare to pick it and could only look at the map and continue walking.
Suddenly, the map showed that there was a potato field ahead. Why "a field"? Because there was a small dot on the map showing that it was entirely made up of potatoes.

Just kidding, one wild boar could kill her, let alone a whole herd.
Even if potatoes are delicious, she still needs to be alive to eat them!
She didn't know how long she had been running, but gradually the silence around her returned, and Ruan Mianmian stopped, panting heavily.
As the sun gradually sets, the temperature in the forest begins to drop.
The forest becomes even more dangerous at night, with the howls of wild beasts echoing everywhere.
Ruan Mianmian decided to find a safe place to spend the night and continue searching for the orcs at dawn.
