Chapter 378 Battle Against the Void

Chapter 378 Battle Against the Void

While Agreed and Azathoth were locked in fierce combat, a protracted war was also raging on another battlefield.

Yog Sothos was locked in battle with Tiga, the Time Dragon Jerok, the Undead Dragon Farazul, the Power Dragon Brestar, the Three-Headed Dragon Otto, and the Hundred-Headed Ladon. Meanwhile, Nyarlathotep was fighting Warwick, the White Wolf God, Anubis, the God of Death, and the Minotaur. The remaining evil gods were also engaged in a chaotic melee with the warriors of the Kingdom of All Races, with neither side gaining the upper hand.

Yog-Sothoth was the first to strike. His bizarre body, composed of spheres of infinite light, burst forth with dazzling brilliance. Under the illumination of the light, the bodies of countless warriors from the myriad races aged and decayed rapidly, eventually turning to ashes. This was Yog-Sothoth's power of time. Although his control over time was limited, time, as one of the fundamental laws, was not something that ordinary gods could easily withstand, even with just a tiny bit of its power.

Unfortunately, Yog-Sothoth encountered a fellow warrior today. Jerok, a Time Dragon, spread his tattered wings, and in an instant, another surge of temporal power joined the battle, protecting the warriors of the Kingdom of All Races. Power Dragon Bresta and Undead Dragon Farazur seized the opportunity and immediately destroyed the radiant orbs on Yog-Sothoth's body.

However, this attack did not harm Yog-Sothoth. Yog-Sothoth activated the power of time and instantly returned to his peak condition. At this moment, the taciturn Yog-Sothoth praised Gerald, "I didn't expect you to be a master of the power of time as well. You are quite good and a worthy opponent for me to defeat with all my might!"

As Yog Sothoth unleashed his full power of time, and Gerald, not to be outdone by such a provocation, challenged him to a contest of his mastery of time magic. The auras of the two constantly changed, and then their time periods began to jump erratically and dramatically. Sometimes they suddenly became old and dying, sometimes they suddenly returned to their youth, or they suddenly turned into nothingness and then rapidly grew from nothing to something again.

Due to the interplay of time powers, the state between the two was very unstable. At this moment, time no longer flowed linearly for them, but instead gradually appeared in fragments. However, the others on the side were not just watching the show. They all unleashed their killing moves at Yog Sothoth, attempting to take this opportunity to kill one of the three original pillar gods.

Unfortunately, no matter how damaged Yog-Sothoth's body was, he would recover in the blink of an eye under the protection of the power of time. On the main battlefield, Geralt was also suppressed in the clash of the power of time. Yog-Sothoth was, after all, a god who had lived for countless years. The longer one lived, the deeper one's understanding of the Way of Time became. With Geralt's current level of cultivation, he was naturally no match for Yog-Sothoth.

Seeing this, the three-headed dragon 'Otto' anxiously turned to Tiga for help, saying, "Strategist, please think of a solution! Gerald is about to collapse."

Looking at the stalemate, Tiga calmly analyzed, "Use all means to attack Yog Sothos. Now it's a war of attrition. We must reduce the pressure on Gerald as much as possible."

But Bresda retorted, "But our attack methods are completely ineffective against the power of time. Isn't this just a waste of time?"

Tiga shook his head and explained, "You're overestimating the power of time. Don't forget that time is a power that even its master hasn't mastered. If Yog-Sothoth's power of time could truly guarantee his immortality, then even Azathoth would have to bow down to him. Why would he need to come here seeking refuge? Yog-Sothoth's power is probably the same as Geralt's; it only interferes with the time of life itself, delaying the onset of his injuries. As long as he hasn't mastered time, there will always be a price to pay for using the power of time. We can only use a foolish method to break this deadlock now. We need to act quickly! If Geralt is defeated, we'll have no means to fight against the power of time. Let's try to wear him down here!"

As he spoke, Tiga threw the spear in his hand, and the twin dragons of thunder and fire, composed of the dual divine powers of thunder and fire, slammed into Yog-Sothoth. Seeing this, the others had no choice but to obey Tiga's command and unleash various attacks on Yog-Sothoth.

When Yog-Sothoth saw their relentless and tireless attacks, he finally panicked. Tiga's judgment was correct: he had never truly mastered time. Now, Yog-Sothoth's only way out was to defeat Geralt as soon as possible, otherwise he would definitely be destroyed by time due to the excessive time damage he had accumulated!

But Jelock, being a Time Dragon, was not so easily destroyed. Thus, a life-or-death tug-of-war began in the void, while Yog Sothoth could only pray that Nyarlathotep would arrive to provide support as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, Yog Sothoth's hopes were dashed, as Nyarlathotep was also unable to attend to other matters.

At this moment, Nyarlathotep was locked in a fierce battle with Warwick, who had transformed into a hundred-foot-tall giant wolf. Meanwhile, Anubis was gathering his soul power to relentlessly harass him, while on the other side, the Minotaur was using its war god status to continuously gather the battle energy from the battlefield, preparing to deliver a fatal blow to Nyarlathotep.

At this moment, Nyarlathotep, the only one among the evil gods whose appearance is somewhat human, is constantly dodging Warwick's fierce attacks. Now, this pillar god is a thin old man with dark skin and a scepter in his hand. Nyarlathotep leisurely dodges Warwick's wide-ranging attacks as if he were teasing a restless big dog, while occasionally waving his staff to dispel the undead power around him.

Warwick quickly became enraged by this situation, and immediately unleashed his divinity. Instantly, a silvery-white divine light appeared, followed by his hair standing on end and his eyes turning scarlet. Then, the divine light transformed into silver needles that pierced Nyarlathotep's body without leaving a pore.

After being attacked, Nyarlathotep stopped testing and immediately changed form, revealing his true form as the Thousand-Faced Demon. In an instant, a huge humanoid monster appeared before everyone. The humanoid monster had no face, but its body was covered with densely packed masks and strange human faces. The humanoid monster's head was concave inward and then bulged outward after a while, turning into a strange tentacle.

This is Nyarlathotep's true form, the Thousand-Faced Demon. Although his appearance is not exactly flattering, it must be said that in the Void God system, he is truly the evil god whose appearance is closest to that of a human.

After revealing his true form, Nyarlathotep swung his head and slapped Warwick down with one of his tentacle heads. Then, the countless faces on Nyarlathotep's body began to scream in unison. However, instead of producing sound waves, those faces emitted a kind of eerie energy that could propagate without a medium, similar to energy waves. Afterward, those strange energies quickly resonated and acted on Warwick's body like waves, continuously accumulating. Under such circumstances, given enough time, no defense could withstand this special attack method.

Seeing that Warwick was about to be severely injured by this sudden attack, Anubis immediately transformed into his Apollo mode and rushed forward, using his wings to directly envelop Nyarlathotep. However, this also allowed Nyarlathotep's attack to hit him without missing a beat. In order to resist Nyarlathotep's attack, Anubis also activated the droplet form taught to him by Agreed. But in just a moment, Anubis's body was shattered by terrifying energy and turned into light particles that scattered in all directions.
