Chapter 228 Subduing the Orcs

Chapter 228 Subduing the Orcs

The orc chieftain was immediately stumped. They really couldn't do anything about the Minotaur's war trampling. But the Minotaur stopped charging and instead strolled leisurely toward the orcs, saying, "I just wanted to remind you that this battle could actually be resolved much faster, but that would be too monotonous. If I don't win by overwhelming force, then I will truly have failed my lord's training. Let's go again!"

At this moment, the Minotaur had already reached the orcs. Enraged, the orcs raised their weapons again and charged at the Minotaur. The Minotaur raised his hand and smashed the weapon aimed at him with a punch, then punched the orc in front of him, knocking him to the ground. The orc lay motionless on the ground, unconscious, and blood began to flow from his seven orifices, clearly caused by ruptured internal organs and head injuries. It was obvious that he was barely breathing and there was no hope of saving him.

The ensuing battles were basically a repeat of this scenario. The Minotaur could take down one enemy with a single punch. Few of the orcs could even survive a single blow from him, let alone injure him. Although orcs are generally two to three meters tall, they are still too small and delicate in front of the Minotaur. Even without weapons, the Minotaur's reach is longer than that of many orcs who are armed.

Moreover, the Minotaur wasn't stupid. He kept taking the initiative to attack, not giving the orcs a chance to surround him. He kept turning one-on-three hundred and twelve battles into three hundred and twelve one-on-one battles with an extremely fast attack frequency. This is a common strategy of fighting multiple enemies after overwhelming the opponent's individual combat power. It can eliminate as many enemies as possible with the least cost and also has a higher margin for error.

In just fifteen minutes, the orcs had been reduced to only twenty-odd men. The orc leader, wielding a stone sword, led the remaining members of his tribe in a final charge against the Minotaur.

At this moment, the Minotaur stopped pulling and instead charged forward without hesitation, throwing a punch straight at the orc chieftain's head. But to everyone's surprise, the orc chieftain didn't fall after this blow. Instead, he swung his stone sword and slashed it across the Minotaur's waist. Unfortunately, after being modified by Agreed, the ancient dragon bones inside the Minotaur's body had enhanced his physical defense to a level no weaker than that of a dragon. Therefore, the stone sword shattered into a pile of fragments on the spot after striking the Minotaur's waist. The Minotaur then frantically threw punches at the orc chieftain. However, in this brief delay, the other orcs had already surrounded him and launched a siege attack on the Minotaur with their weapons.

Seeing this, the Minotaur abandoned his plan to kill the orc chieftain and instead went to deal with the orc warriors who were easier to handle. So, a few minutes later, only the Minotaur and the orc chieftain were left alive on the field.

By this time, the orc chieftain's eyes were so swollen that he could barely see where he was going. He stood there shakily, holding the hilt of the stone sword in his hand and pointing it forward, expressing his resentment towards his fate.

Minotaur watched him casually flick his fist, then nodded in respect and said, "You are indeed a respectable warrior, at least you are worth my effort to defeat." With that, Minotaur walked forward, and the orc chieftain roared and charged forward.

The two then clashed. Minotaur delivered an uppercut that sent the orc chieftain flying a meter into the air before he fell straight back to his original spot. After landing, the orc chieftain weakly picked up the hilt of his sword and stabbed Minotaur in the abdomen before collapsing and losing his life.

The remaining orcs watched the brutal slaughter in silence, some children even crying out at the sight. The Minotaur turned to the orc tribe and shouted, "Identify this moment in your mind! Remember this: this is the consequence of opposing that master!!"

Then, the Minotaur changed the subject, saying, "Now, it is time for my Lord to bestow upon you your first blessing." Before he finished speaking, holy energy appeared out of thin air, and all the orcs present were completely healed. The dead orcs were also resurrected, and all their injuries were restored.

The orc chieftain, who had been resurrected, stared at his body in disbelief. Minotaur ignored their astonished expressions and continued, "Remember this, all of you. Your master can kill you, and he can bring you back to life. Remember, you all owe your master a life." With that, Minotaur pointed at the resurrected orcs, warning them to understand what they had to do.

The orcs looked at each other, then knelt down and shouted Agred's name, praising him to the skies. Agred looked at the images transmitted back by the spirit and transmitted his voice to the Minotaur: "Alright, Minotaur, escort these orcs to the southern border. Let Yorik settle them. After you've done all that, take your equipment and return to the orc settlement where you are now and join us."

After saying that, Agreed cut off the video transmitted by Lingzi. Otto looked at this scene and asked in confusion, "Master, why did you let them leave the underground world? We are about to attack the drow elves, and the orcs can serve as the vanguard."

Agreed shook his head, rejecting the suggestion, and said, "There's no need. We're not like we used to be. We don't need to exhaust our resources. The orcs are currently lacking equipment and haven't received proper living conditions and food. Neither their combat strength nor their physical condition are at their best. If we send them as the vanguard, the remaining orcs will probably all be wiped out. Since they're working for me, I won't risk their lives for something so pointless. Besides... I'm more than confident that I've captured this city of the drow elves..."

As he spoke, Agred gently stroked the magic circle surrounding the drow capital, 'Brenda'. A massive shield, resembling multiple rings, appeared before them upon Agred's touch and then quickly vanished. However, this subtle touch instantly alerted the drow elves, and the guards immediately began searching for the source of the alarm. But Agred's current location was quite concealed; although it offered access to the city walls, it wasn't a regular patrol position and was a defensive dead spot.

So Agreed remained calm, quietly opened the portal, and led his men away.

Some time later, Agreed and his men moved to the orc camp in the Underdark. Agreed opened his palm, and a simulated protective shield he created with magical elements appeared in his palm. This was a scale blueprint that Agreed had simulated and created based on Brenda's magic circle. At this moment, staring at the model in front of him, Agreed seemed to be admiring a work of art.

Agred gazed intently at the blueprint in his hand, muttering to himself, "I knew I still had a lot to learn. The drow elves have really taught me a lesson. New magical ideas, new defensive layouts—fantastic! The value of this is no less than that of a new super-tier spell!"
