Chapter 353: Beating the Nanny by Mistake
Chapter 353: Beating the Nanny by Mistake
Zheng Rui didn't think twice and kicked open the bathroom door. She reached out and pulled out the woman who was bathing inside and started beating her up.
"Ah!" The woman screamed in horror, lying naked on the ground, her body shaking constantly.
In the bedroom, someone who heard the noise hurried out and shouted, "What's wrong?" When he saw it was Zheng Rui, Zheng Junwei's face instantly turned pale. He stepped forward, stopped Zheng Rui, glared at her angrily, and asked, "What do you want to do?"
"What do I want? I want to ask you, why is there a woman in your house?!" Zheng Rui shouted loudly.
Zheng Junwei's face flushed with anger. He pointed at the woman on the ground and said, "Look carefully at who she is!"
"Just look." Zheng Rui lowered her head and noticed that the woman on the ground was fat and quite old. She was curled up and wailing non-stop.
"She is."
"She's my nanny!" Zheng Junwei was extremely angry. "Zheng Rui, are you crazy? What on earth do you want to do?"
"I." Zheng Rui knew she was in the wrong, but she still said stubbornly, "Then why is your nanny bathing here?"
Zheng Junwei gritted his teeth and said word by word: "Does this have anything to do with you?"
At this time, the nanny trembled and climbed up, quickly picked up the clothes beside her to cover her body, and explained with a trembling voice: "I accidentally knocked over the paint that Mr. Zheng had placed on the balcony and stained myself. Mr. Zheng was so kind as to let me bathe here, miss. Please don't misunderstand! I am so old, I really can't stand it."
Zheng Rui's face flushed even redder, but she still refused to give in. "Who would have thought something like this would happen? It's not my fault."
Zheng Junwei was so angry that he was shaking all over, but he still suppressed his anger and turned to the nanny and said apologetically: "Aunt Zhang, I'm sorry, are you hurt? I'll take you to the hospital."
Aunt Zhang waved her hands repeatedly, her voice trembling slightly as she said anxiously, "No need, no need for me, I can go back by myself." Her steps were unsteady, and she barely managed to walk into the bathroom.
Inside, she hurriedly tidied her messy hair and wiped off the remaining water stains on her body, her eyes full of grievance and uneasiness.
After a while, she came out of the bathroom, with her head lowered, whispering: "Mr. Zheng, can you pay me my salary? I don't want to work here anymore." Her voice was as small as a mosquito's hum, revealing deep helplessness.
Zheng Junwei looked at her, his heart full of guilt. He understood Aunt Zhang's mood at the moment very well, so without saying a word, he gave her double salary.
Aunt Zhang took the money, a trace of gratitude flashed in her eyes, and she thanked him repeatedly. Then she hurriedly picked up her things and almost ran away, not wanting to stay for a moment, as if the room was filled with an atmosphere that frightened her.
Zheng Rui sat on the sofa with an indifferent expression on her face, muttering: "There are so many aunts! If she doesn't want to work, just leave, it's not like she can't find another one! Why is she being so pretentious! Looking at her like that, we're almost blind!" As she spoke, she crossed her legs and tapped her fingers casually on the armrest of the sofa, with disdain on her face.
Zheng Junwei came back from sending Aunt Zhang home, and as soon as he walked in, he heard her harsh words.
His eyes instantly became sharp. He took a few steps forward, pulled her up from the sofa, and with his other hand, he tightly grasped her wrist and dragged her towards the door.
"Zheng Junwei, what are you doing?" Zheng Rui was startled by his sudden action. She struggled desperately, kicking her feet wildly, trying to break free from his restraints.
But Zheng Junwei seemed to be crazy at this moment. He was incredibly strong and refused to let go. His face was terribly gloomy, like the sky before a storm.
"Bastard! Let me go, I won't leave!" Zheng Rui screamed loudly, her voice sharp and piercing.
"You have to leave!" Zheng Junwei gritted his teeth, squeezing out these words. He was truly enraged. He opened the door and threw Zheng Rui's bag out with all his might. Then, he threw her shoes out as well, all in one smooth motion, without the slightest hesitation.
Zheng Rui was so angry that her face turned pale, her eyes wide as copper bells, staring at him intently, and questioning: "Isn't it just that I fired a nanny? Is it that serious?"
Zheng Junwei suddenly laughed, a smile filled with endless mockery that made people shudder. "Not really? What did you make me look like just now? I beg you, please don't intrude into my life again, okay?" His voice was low and suppressed, as if he was trying hard to suppress his inner anger.
"Zheng Junwei, are you so annoyed with me?" Zheng Rui stretched out her finger, pointed at him tremblingly, and asked harshly: "You said you would stay with me forever! You can't go back on your word!" Her eyes were full of unwillingness and anger, and tears were welling up in her eyes.
"Ha!" Zheng Junwei sneered, and that laugh seemed to come from the Nine Nether Hell. He stared at her coldly, his eyes like knives: "Look at what you look like now? Why should I stay with you?"
"Zheng Junwei, please explain yourself clearly!" Zheng Rui took a step forward and wanted to grab his hand, but Zheng Junwei shook her hand away in annoyance. The way he looked at her was colder than when he looked at a stranger, as if she was the most disgusting thing in the world to him.
"Zheng Rui, are you sick? Who are you to me? My wife? My girlfriend? Or a one-night stand?" He ignored Zheng Rui's instantly pale face and continued to sneer: "You are nothing!"
"Hehehe." Zheng Rui seemed to have lost all her strength when she heard this. She swayed for a moment, then laughed non-stop, shaking her head as she did so. Her voice was filled with endless bitterness. "Yeah, I'm not yours, let alone the person you're looking for!"
Zheng Junwei's expression changed slightly, as if something had hit the nail on the head. He suddenly reached out and grabbed Zheng Rui's hand, his fingers tightly gripping her wrist with such force that it seemed as if he was going to crush her bones. He asked anxiously, "What did you say?"
"Did I say something wrong?" Zheng Rui raised her head and stared at him. The tears in her eyes finally burst out and slid down her cheeks.
Zheng Junwei narrowed his eyes and blurted out: "Do you know who she is?"
Zheng Rui stared at him, then suddenly burst into laughter, her laughter filled with mockery and despair: "So, it really is a woman!"
Zheng Junwei then realized that he had been fooled, and his face instantly became extremely gloomy. He suddenly shook off Zheng Rui's hand, and Zheng Rui staggered and almost fell to the ground.
"Stay away from my business from now on!" Zheng Junwei roared.
