Chapter 111 Good News!
It was late at night, and the curfew had just ended.
Although Kane told Hermione many times that she didn't need the Invisibility Cloak, and that Dumbledore had already arranged for her to receive special treatment, and that no one would cause trouble, she had absolutely no need to hide herself with the Invisibility Cloak.
However, I don't know what's wrong with Hermione. Does she distrust herself, Dumbledore, or Filch's eyesight? She seems to be sewn shut by the Invisibility Cloak and refuses to come out no matter what.
And so, Kane and Hermione arrived at the headmaster's office without incident. Lockhart was already seated, and the seat next to him was Kane's.
As for the cabinet behind Dumbledore's desk, it had become a whiteboard, and Dumbledore himself was smiling as he looked at Hermione, who was wearing an invisibility cloak behind Kane.
Kane smiled and gently patted Lockhart on the shoulder: "Lockhart, I have something to tell you, please forgive me first."
Lockhart nodded with wide eyes: "You've helped me so much, as long as it's not a matter of principle, I'll definitely forgive you."
"I brought an extra person this time for special treatment." Kane said, reaching out to grab a corner of Hermione's invisibility cloak and gently tugging at it. Together with Hermione, they put the cloak away.
Lockhart's eyes widened even more, as if he were racking his brains trying to think of a reason to choose.
Hermione looked at Lockhart with curiosity, wondering why Professor Lockhart would be in such a basic course.
Kane, however, offered Lockhart an excuse: "Because true masters often have the heart of apprentices, just like Dumbledore. I remember reading Beedle the Bard's Tales before bed."
Dumbledore nodded readily. "Yes, that's quite good. Miss Granger, please have a seat. We're about to begin class."
As Dumbledore spoke, he waved his wand, and an identical chair materialized next to Kane.
The three sat in a row like a group of elementary school students, while Dumbledore had temporarily left, presumably to prepare something.
Taking advantage of the moment, Lockhart pulled a parchment notebook from his pocket: "I've taken back that infinite record notebook you were eyeing."
Hermione, who had been keeping her eyes downcast, suddenly broke down and abruptly turned to look at Kane and Lockhart.
She said that a couple of days ago, Cade from Hufflepuff was crying while eating. When she went over to ask, she found out that his laptop had been confiscated, and she was speechless for a while. Luckily, she helped him to cause trouble for Lockhart.
As a result, these two guys set up a trap for someone, confiscated the notebook, and it ended up in Kane's pocket.

Soon, Dumbledore came out of the room, and Kane realized that Dumbledore had forgotten to take the chalk.
Although writing on the blackboard with magic is more convenient, perhaps it's because using chalk feels more natural.
As Dumbledore's calm, magnetic voice rang out, knowledge flowed into their heads like water through their ears, and then, under Dumbledore's supervision, began to be put into practice directly.
Although Lockhart felt a surge of tension with Hermione watching him cast the spell, it was like the last second of a green light at a traffic intersection—difficult, but he still managed to get through.
As the practice ended, the knowledge in my head, which was like water, suddenly froze, and it's unlikely to fall out now.
"Well, overall, the first lesson was very successful." Dumbledore smiled as he looked at the three young wizards opposite him. Two of them were like the rising sun, and the other was a prodigal son who had returned home.
I am truly a good principal.
"Well, we'll be going then." Kane said, turning to leave the headmaster's office with the other two, when Dumbledore suddenly coughed: "Kane, have you forgotten something?"
Kane looked puzzled. What could he have forgotten? Then he saw Dumbledore pick up a small, exquisite cauldron from under his desk.
Ah, I was planning to make Dumbledore a soothing tea so he could try my cooking, but I forgot, I forgot.
"You guys go ahead, I have something to do." Kane said goodbye to Hermione and Lockhart with an awkward smile.
Lohart nodded, while Hermione, hidden beneath the invisibility cloak, wore an expression of certainty; they still had some extra lessons to learn.
But then I thought, I've already gotten all this extra help by taking advantage of others, it would be impolite to ask for more. Kane has already been a very good friend.
With that thought, Hermione turned and left the headmaster's office.
"Well, it's a pity that mandrakes only mature and are edible for a period of time each year, just like the ephemeral beauty of the night-blooming cereus," Dumbledore said with some disappointment.
"Not entirely. My Mandrake, which I've transformed with Shadow, doesn't have that limitation anymore. You can collect tens of thousands of Mandrakes, enough for you for a while," Kane said as he rummaged through the little pumpkin for Forget-Me-Not.
"Kane, has anyone ever said you're a great talker? Life is only 30,000 days long, how long do you expect me to live?" Dumbledore said with a smile.
"Um...no." Kane perfectly avoided the awkward question. After all, he wouldn't ask an old man how many days he had left to live—such a hellish question.
Soon, a forget-me-not found a honey jar at Dumbledore's place, put two spoonfuls of honey in it, and finally filled it with water.
The former principals, whose names were already hanging on the wall, were just secretly watching this scene. But when some of the principals, who had been professors of potions, saw that Kane's cauldron automatically transformed those things into something similar to a potion, and that for some unknown reason, a cup automatically grew out of the cauldron.
In an instant, the principals' eyes widened, almost breaking through from two-dimensional to three-dimensional. They all wanted to jump out of the picture frame and have a showdown with Kane, to ask him what he had done with the cute little cauldron using his abstract and bizarre talent!
Dumbledore took the tea and drank it all in one gulp: "Thank you so much, Kane. This tea is very effective. I need to go get some sleep now."
Dumbledore stood up, patted Kane on the shoulder, and swayed as he walked toward the bedroom inside.
Just as Kane was about to leave, he strangely saw a layer of transparent magic membrane appear on the wall that displayed portraits of past principals.
He gently poked it with his wand, puncturing it, and almost instantly, wave after wave of historical and potion-related terms, like the trash talk Snape roared out a hundred years ago, suddenly drilled into Kane's ears.
"Holy crap!" Kane dashed out of the headmaster's office, while Dumbledore, who had finally managed to fall asleep in the headmaster's bedroom, thought: "???.......
'
Kane rubbed his ears as he returned to his dorm room, lay down on his bed, and fell asleep.
The next day, Kane sat up in bed, stretched, then lined up to wash up, met up with his friends in the lounge, and went to the auditorium for breakfast.
However, as a flock of owls rushed in through the hall window, two heavy bags of Galleons fell from the sky, smashing the plate in front of Kane.
Along with it came a paper crane that Professor Sprout flew over.
He raised an eyebrow after unfolding the origami crane. Good news!
