Xiangzi picked it up.
"Nirvana is currently sealed in a semi-dead state. I can use a little bit of Nirvana's magic power that has escaped from the Seed of Lamentation, but you can treat it as if it doesn't exist."
“That means, when this Soul Gem overflows again…” Hailing said.
“Nirvana will release him,” Miaomeng continued.
Mu raised his eyes and looked at Xiangzi.
"Yeah." Xiangzi nodded.
"So, what should we do next?" Chu Hua asked.
Chu Hua's question hit the nail on the head.
The surrounding area suddenly became quiet.
"Yes, what should we do..." Xiangzi said slowly.
“You promised me before,” Miaomeng reminded her. “I don’t really care about magical girls or the end of the world. Money and internet traffic are more tempting to me.”
"Of course we haven't forgotten that, but as for how to keep our team going..."
Xiangzi lowered his voice.
“My Soul Gem consumption is three times higher, and with the consumption of the rest of you, the demand for Lament Seeds has become very large. We will definitely face more powerful witches in the future and need to be more efficient.”
"Moreover, I don't get along well with the gathering at this stage."
"As far as I know, there are still a group of magical girls like Hailin who are unsociable, don't get along with gatherings, and are disobedient."
"So, I thought about it, since everyone likes to jokingly call the meeting place Diagon Alley."
"How about we create our own... a more free, direct, and unrestricted information exchange... like a flip-flop alley?"

Stay True to Yourself (Come As You Are)

"Su Shi, I've been looking for you for so long! Where have you been these past few days?!"
"Ai-yin..."
Why did you block us?
"It's... no longer important."
"Su Shi? Su Shi, what happened to you?! Your Soul Gem... why is it all black?!"
In the end, I no longer understand what I cherish and what I want to protect...
"While praying for happiness, we also hurt others. That's what we magical girls are all about..."
"Aine...I..."
"What an idiot..."
Smells Like Teen Spirit
To be continued.
The Tale of Nirvana: Maintaining One's True Self: Epilogue
In summarizing this playlist, I've realized that there are many things I need to discuss alongside the songs, including the creative process, which I'd like to share with everyone.
====
[Chapter Title] In the Prime of Life
In Bloom—Nirvana
One of my favorite Nirvana songs, the lyrics satirize most people who blindly follow trends, unaware of what their cheers are actually expressing. The mindset of Hatsuka standing on stage watching Sumimi's fans is taken from these lyrics.

[Chapter Title] The Monkey Goes to Heaven
Monkey Gone ToHeaven — Pixies
The song appears as a metaphor in the movie "Fight Club" with the line: "You guys are a bunch of monkeys who are going to space and have been trained to press the button at any time."
But to be honest, I don't really understand the lyrics of this song either.
It's too abstract.
Most of the time, it's just my imagination.
However, when used as the "monkey in space" in the movie Fight Club, it takes on a satirical meaning.

[Chapter Title] Summer of Early Blossoms
Summ (Kikujiro's Summer) - Joe Hisaishi
Kikujiro's Summer needs no introduction; it's a world-famous piece. I used it as the chapter title because I felt that the summer days of Xiaoxiao Xianghe and Xiaoxiao Chuhua's childhood resonated with this song.
△
[Chapter Name] Meow Dream of Youtian Temple·Counting Stars
Counting Stars—Onepublic (Republican Era)
The song that topped the Bilibili charts for a long time back then had lyrics that satirized people whose dreams were corrupted by money and fame. As for Meow Dream, her backstory was partly based on Kurt Cobain's (Nirvana's lead singer) childhood and the lyrics of the song "Counting Stars".
Miaomeng is actually a very ambitious person.

[Chapter Title] Hachiman Kairin: Song of the Four Seasons
Four Seasons - MINMI
The ending theme of Samurai Champloo, "A samurai with the scent of sunflowers," perfectly describes Hailin, right?
△
[Chapter Title/Witch's Name] Ave Maria
Ave Maria
It appeared in Madoka Magica, a violin version of the piece played by Kyosuke Kamijou. Using it as the witch's name was intended to create a sense of contrast.
△
[Chapter Title] Farewell Today
Today's Day - Emi Hayashihara
I chose it to replace "New You" because this song appeared in "EVA: Resurrection" (Evangelion Unit-01 tears Asuka apart). Secondly, the song's status in Japan is similar to that of "Farewell" (the one by the ancient road outside the long pavilion) here. I liked to sing it when I graduated, and it's the song I highly recommend listening to on my playlist.
[Chapter Title] Wakaba Mutsumi: By Your Side
NEXT TO YOU——Ken Arai (ケンアライ)
The most famous insert song from the Parasyte anime, which appears many times, also implies (x) that Migi, who has always been the protagonist's right hand, has always been by his side. Applied to Mutsu, it probably means that Mutsu will be like Migi, serving as Sho's right and left hands, and will always exist.

[Chapter Name] Spring Shadow
jump over.
I have a condition that makes me laugh whenever I see Motoyo Nagasaki.

[Chapter Title] The Man Who Deceives the World
The Man Who SoldThe World——David Bowie/Nirvana/Midge Ure
This is a song that is extremely, extremely, extremely meaningful to the story of this volume. The pure keyboard version of Midge Ure appeared as background music in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Some readers also noticed that the relationship between Shoko and Oblivionis is quite similar to that between Big Boss and Venom Snake in The Phantom Pain. I was quite happy that this Easter egg was recognized by many readers.
Besides, this song is Nirvana's most famous cover (so famous that when the original singer David Bowie sang it, people asked, "Is this a cover of Nirvana?"). I like all three versions and enjoy listening to them together.
My understanding of the lyrics is that they represent the self-talk of a liar who is deceiving himself in front of a mirror.

[Chapter Title] Whe Is My Mind
What Is My Mind—Pixies
It's another song by a little fairy, and likewise, it has a very deep connection with Fight Club—it's the end credits song for that movie.
Many of the scenes in this chapter are based on shots and dialogues from the end credits.
===========
Now that we've come this far, let's talk about the band.
Nirvana's importance to this book is self-evident. Although the initial idea of "let Xiao Xiang's witch name be Nirvana" came from Cyber Xiao Xiang, it was Nirvana that truly perfected this inspiration.
It's bett to burn out than to fade away.
Rather than lingering on in vain, it is better to burn brightly.
It is the suicide note left by the band's lead singer Kurt Cobain when he joined the 27 Club, and it has become the most important part of the character of Xiao Xiang/Oblivionis.
Some readers have already left their own interpretations in the long reviews (which I think are even better than my own explanations), so I won't add anything more.
Shifting the focus away from Nirvana and onto the Pixies, we won't discuss their achievements or experiences. The most important significance of this band for this book lies in two aspects.
First, "Whe Is My Mind" is the end credits song for Fight Club.
Secondly, Nirvana was born because Kurt Cobain listened to their songs and was inspired to make his own music.
Fight Club is one of the most important sources of inspiration for this book. The self-contradictions and self-reconciliations of Xiangzi, Oblivionis, and the illusion lamp surrounding volumes one and two all come from this movie.
If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend watching it (the version on the cloud drive is heavily edited; the streaming version has been significantly cut). Because it will contain spoilers, I don't plan to go into detail.
Secondly, regarding the connection between Pixies and Nirvana, it's a perfect accident for this book. Xiao Xiang's decision to form Crychic after listening to Morfonica is not just similar, it's practically identical.
Another interesting thing is that the shirt that Riko Sasaki wore in her short video, and the wry smile on her face, is actually the Nirvana band logo.
What a coincidence this world is like.jpg
They can be paired up so well even if you just randomly put them together.
And, about EVA.
Some people say that reading the last few chapters felt like watching EVA, and I was particularly moved.
I just wanted to capture that feeling!
That's about it. That's all I wanted to say and tell you about the songs and movies.
The title of the next volume, "Smells Like Teen Spirit," is also a Nirvana song and will focus on the relationship between Mujica and Go.
Thank you for your support, dear readers. This book did very poorly. If it weren't for a group of people who kept saying, "I still want to read on," I probably wouldn't have been able to continue writing it a long time ago.
thank you all.
(There are at least two more volumes to go; so far, it's only halfway through, maybe not even halfway.)
The Lost Tale: The Spirit of Youth: Chapter 151 The Explosive Drummer
thump.
The rhythmic sound of the military drums was clear and sharp.
Thump, thump, thump, thump.
The second strike rang out, followed by a third, then a fourth. The rhythm gradually quickened, from slow to fast, becoming increasingly rapid. The drummer applied more and more force to the drumsticks, and the volume grew louder and louder, like a series of machine gun shots.
Thump thump thump thump thump thump.
