Chapter 469 Magical Reform

Chapter 469 Magical Reform (Thirteen)

To avoid being hunted down, Constantine immediately called his roommate, Logan, and told him to go directly to Rune.

If there is anyone in this world who can protect themselves from the entire conservative faction and Faust, besides that fallen angel who is playing around in the mortal world, it is probably only Rune.

It seems like I have two choices, but in reality, that fallen angel will most likely not care about me, so I only have one choice.

"I knew you'd get into trouble, Constantine," Rune glared at Constantine, "but I didn't expect you to make such a mess of things."

"Oh dear, there's nothing we can do about it. Who knows where Faust got the information about the Spear of Fate from—" Constantine said with a forced smile, as if he wasn't the one arguing with Rune earlier.

Rune rolled his eyes. Faust must have made contact with Hell, and the only demon who knew the whereabouts of the Spear of Fate was that first fallen one.

However, Rune is no longer the same as before. Even with the addition of the Fallen Ones, Rune is not afraid of those conservatives.

After he became Satan, he couldn't even deal with Doomsday. Do you really expect the newly fallen to be that powerful? Without a long period of accumulation, the newly fallen might not even be able to defeat some mages.

-

With Constantine's intelligence, he certainly knew that the person behind this was a First Fallen One, but he was too embarrassed to say it.

After all, he had just shown through his actions that he didn't want to associate with Rune, but then he turned around and caused Rune a lot of trouble.

"So what do you want to do?"

Constantine patted his chest and assured him, "Give me some materials, and I can solve this problem myself."

He simply lacked the materials and time to prepare. The group of mages happened to choose the moment when Constantine was most vulnerable, and Faust's magical skills were indeed quite good, which is why they were able to capture Constantine.

"There's no need." Rune shook his head, then glanced at the person beside him. "This must be Chandler?"

Chandler was a relatively strong ordinary man with a round face and a friendly appearance. He was dressed in jeans and a jacket, but his expression was somewhat reserved. Constantine had warned him in advance and told this poor ordinary man about Rune's strength.

Chandler was now somewhat apprehensive, fearing that his actions might anger the powerful mage.

Constantine grinned mischievously and nudged Chandler with his elbow. Chandler finally reacted, stammering, "Y-yes, Your Majesty?"

Constantine burst out laughing. "Your Majesty? Chandler is hilarious!"

However, if Rune wanted to, he could actually become emperor, whether in the magical or material world. Constantine couldn't laugh at the thought.

Chandler's words made Rune shake his head helplessly. "No, just treat me like an ordinary person. Don't completely believe whatever Constantine tells you. Make your own judgment based on your own eyes. You can stay here tonight, and you'll be safe tomorrow."

After saying that, Rune continued to focus on the spellbook in his hands.

With the magic capacity increased to an unprecedented level, how to use this magic has become a major problem for Rune.

In fact, this is a problem for almost all strong individuals. Because they are too powerful, they often cannot find a suitable way to unleash all their combat abilities.

For example, in the later part of the main universe's storyline, Superman's main fighting method is still his fists, at most he has incorporated Kryptonian combat techniques, and Rune seriously suspects that the main content of these so-called Kryptonian combat techniques is actually the technique of exerting force.

There are also figures like Zeus, Odin, Darkseid, and Thanos, who all possess various means of releasing their internal energy, but when facing enemies equal to or even stronger than themselves, they simply release their energy directly.

Of course, they can restrict the flow of energy and increase damage, but that's really not very sophisticated.

This isn't because they're lazy or unwilling to learn new knowledge, but because they've taken completely different paths; the nature of the energy within these powerful individuals is different, and they possess different abilities.

Of course, there is another very important point: there are very few beings in the entire universe who have reached their level, and there is not much experience from predecessors to refer to, so they can only rely on their own deduction.

However, Rune has a unique advantage: he can traverse multiple dimensions at a very low cost, even if the distance between these dimensions is extremely vast.

Perhaps one day, Rune may be able to learn from and communicate with multiple powerful individuals, and integrate a method of energy usage suitable for people at his level.

But for now, at least for now, Rune has no clue how to use this magic. He can only try to integrate the magic of Kamar-Taj with the knowledge he previously gained from Naboo's head, attempting to find a way to use magic efficiently. In the middle of the night, Logan finally arrived at Rune's workshop, and his first words upon arrival were, "I hate that idiot Constantine!"

But Rune knew that if Logan truly disliked Constantine, Constantine would never have become his roommate. So Rune simply nodded, pretending to agree with Wolverine's point of view.

Logan and Rune exchanged pleasantries for a few moments before Logan went straight to a room to sleep. Although he had heard about the recent turmoil in the magical world, Logan had faith in Rune.

After Logan left, the workshop fell silent again, and Rune took a short rest to prepare for the great battle.

Although his ultimate annihilator is still in the hands of Dr. Manhattan, he is not worried.

After the magical upheaval ended and he was tempered by the black hole, Rune was no longer himself. Anyone who still viewed himself through the lens of the past would suffer greatly.

As the rooster crowed, Rune stepped out of the workshop again.

It's time to teach those old-fashioned types a lesson.

Faust looked at the Tower of Destiny before him with disappointment, or more accurately, the ruins of the Tower of Destiny. A huge tower once stood here, which should have been a symbol of cosmic order and magic.

However, the Tower of Destiny had vanished, and a terrifying dark magic remained there, its purity enough to terrify Faust.

However, Faust's disappointment did not lie in the shattering of the Tower of Destiny; he was simply saddened that he was not the one who broke it.

When I was exiled, that damned Naboo did a lot of work!

Behind Faust was a group of silent, dangerous mages. Among them were spellcasters controlled by Faust through coercion, enticement, soul contracts, and even mental enslavement, as well as conservative spellcasters with firm stances.

Their magical fluctuations varied, but under Faust's powerful mental control and the influence of the array, the spellcasters' magic was united into one force, which even affected the weather.

Dark clouds filled the sky, and a vortex quietly formed, especially above the center of the mage formation.

Faust quickly stopped worrying about the destruction of the Tower of Fate and took a deep breath, as if savoring the taste of the impending victory.

Everything will be different starting today.
