Rune stood in the center of the room with his arms outstretched. His clothes, made of a levitation cloak, seemed to be blown by the wind. Countless dark magic emanated from beneath his feet, spreading throughout the room and greedily devouring everything around him, including the magical items that Kane had spent most of his life collecting.
The magic longsword creaked under the strain, its intricate magical runes being devoured by the dark magic. The mithril armor standing silently in the corner rapidly lost its luster, and the spellbooks on the bookshelf flipped their pages frantically, the words flitting about like moths, only to be ultimately consumed by the dark magic.
Rune could sense the resistance from those magical items, whether directly or indirectly. The stinging pain was just a normal counterattack. Whispers, curses, and even seductive sounds took turns attacking, but these meant nothing to Rune.
He didn't even resist, letting the repercussions wash over him. Don't forget, Rune had already accepted the bloodline fusion with Doomsday, fearless even of black holes, so why would he be afraid of these petty squabbles?
Soon, all of Kane's magical items were completely devoured and reshaped, and the entire room fell into a deathly silence. The once neat and beautiful room now resembled a bare-bones apartment costing six hundred yuan a month.

Kane's puppet nodded, watching Rune leave through the portal. Over the years, all the puppets Rune sold were handmade by him, which meant that his puppet-making skills had improved unprecedentedly.
Memory magic and psychic abilities, combined with the will of runes, ultimately create a puppet that is completely indistinguishable from the real thing.

"In the future, those two mages will become part of us and promote the new spellcasting system."

Rune shook his head. "I have to go home. You guys go have fun."
"Tsk, aren't you an adult?" Constantine nudged Rune with his elbow, grinning mischievously. "Is your alcohol tolerance low? It's okay, Kent and I will share a bottle, and you and Zatanna can have a drink."
Kent looked disapproving. He drove steadily, saying, "Don't encourage Rune to break the law; he's an American!"
"So what if they're Americans? They were once a British colony!" Zack Kang laughed. "If you ask me, there are only three pleasures in life: smoking, drinking, and succubi! You have no idea how many succubi there are in hell—"
"No!" Seeing Constantine becoming increasingly irresponsible, Kent quickly interrupted him, "The legal drinking age in the United States is 21."
Constantine's eyes widened as he looked at Rune. "Really?"
Rune nodded. Speaking of which, Rune and Zatanna were both born in Gotham, but the latter had been searching for her parents, so she rarely returned to Gotham.
"Damn, you can smoke at 18 where you're from, but you have to be 21 to drink? Could it really be because of that blind man?" Constantine laughed as he finished speaking.

Rune raised an eyebrow. Constantine and Zatanna had been interacting more lately. Could it be that they had gotten together?
"I'm going home first. You guys can go have fun if you want," Rune said, and was about to teleport away when Zatanna grabbed his clothes.
"Take me with you too. They'll definitely feel uncomfortable if they stay with those two." Zatanna finally took off her hat. Rune thought about it and realized that it made sense.
With a girl around, Kent definitely won't have much fun, but Constantine is another story. But then again, Kent is quite old; can he really get along with Constantine?
Despite his curiosity, Rune still teleported away with Zatanna, leaving only Zacon and Kent behind.
Having lost his target for teasing, Chad turned his attention to the only remaining man—Kent.
