Although he was domineering, Rune was actually quite considerate; at least he heated the potion slightly before forcibly feeding it to him.

Strangely, Barbara was actually able to taste the deliciousness of the bone broth through that mouth she shouldn't have had. The aroma of protein and oil was mixed with a strange flavor from red dates and goji berries.

Compared to the cold, hard potion that Batman drank, Barbara received significantly better treatment.

"This potion is essentially a nutritional supplement," Rune said to Batman. "It's a new school of magical potions, and I, in my humble opinion, am its founder."

Batman nodded, but his gaze remained fixed on Barbara, who was still suspended in mid-air by Rune, and was now screaming without regard for her image.

This Batgirl doesn't have Batman's pain tolerance, so she's naturally affected by the intense pain that occurs when her nerves and bones are being repaired.

Batman paid no attention to Rune's words; he was preoccupied with other things.

For example, after this incident, Bat Girl will definitely hate herself even more.

Bruce knew Barbara's thoughts all too well, especially since he was also indulging Rune. Did Batman not know that Barbara would never drink the potion that would allow her to stand up again?

For example, many people subconsciously think that Batman can command all superheroes, and Barbara is no exception.

But in reality, even Clark, who trusts him the most, can be unwilling to carry out Bruce's orders for various reasons. For example, Superman always wants to save everyone and can't bear to see anyone suffer, but Batman wouldn't.

Batman would do that, but Superman wouldn't. If Clark were to handle this, the Ratcatcher would be caught while arresting those officials.

This is the difference between Batman and Superman. They often argue because of their differing ideologies, not to mention Diana and Hal.

These two heroes represent the Amazons and the Olympian gods, and the Green Lantern Corps, respectively. If Batman doesn't handle things well, it could easily escalate the conflicts between men and women, Olympian gods and humans, and Earthlings and aliens.

What gave Batman the biggest headache was that both of them were incredibly opinionated. So, in the early days of the Justice League, Batman racked his brains to gain command and the trust of the others.

But Barbara knew nothing of this; she only believed that Batman had hired a domineering superhero to give her a potion. She would soon get back on her feet, but she would also hate Batman to death.

At that moment, Batman suddenly had a thought. Rune had once said that, given his way of interacting with other children, it wouldn't be surprising if one of them beat him up. Could that child be Barbara?

Rune was left standing to the side by Batman. He had originally wanted to reveal some information to Batman by showing off, hoping to put him at ease, but the guy seemed to be completely absorbed in his own world, so he coughed in annoyance.

The cough interrupted Batman's thoughts, and he gave Rune a cold look.

"So, do you need that beauty potion? If so, it won't be free this time."

He refused earlier because Batman didn't know what Rune really wanted. Free things are always the most expensive, aren't they?

Just like now, even if Barbara hates him to death later, Batman knows that he still owes Rune a huge favor. If Batman finds a hero to guide her a little, Barbara will shift her attention from getting up to hating him. Batman was afraid of incurring another debt because Rune hadn't set a price for the beauty potion last time.

If he could, Rune would actually prefer the gun that hit Batman's parents, or the pearl necklace around Martha's neck; he's certain Batman has both of those items.

He is Batman, after all, and he would definitely use these two items to try to overcome his weaknesses, but Rune knew that saying these words would definitely make Batman hold a grudge, so he only asked for the basic Batsuit.

"Okay, I'll take two bottles."

Bruce thought Rune was mocking him again.
