Chapter 406 The Connections Squad: Teen Titans

Chapter 406 The Connections Squad: Teen Titans (bushi)

Cyborg hasn't found the mesh yet, but some members of the criminal syndicate are already getting restless and starting to cause trouble. And their target is—

"It's the Titans." Cyborg's expression was grave.

Rune sighed. "That's really a good choice."

The Teen Titans are a team of teenage superheroes who play a significant role in the DC Universe. Their members include multiple generations of Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, and other aspiring superheroes.

In some ways, this team is a gathering place for superhero sidekicks and their offspring, with most members being Justice League trainees. Cyborg even later became a full member of the Justice League's Seven, and the other members also have considerable potential.

Deathstroke is an unavoidable theme in the main storyline of Teen Titans.

The members of the Teen Titans all have various flaws. For example, Beast Boy is too immature, Raven is afraid to face his true self, and Damian is arrogant. Naturally, such a team would be brutally defeated by Deathstroke.

Sometimes, Rune suspected that Batman had deliberately hired Deathstroke to train the kids. Anyway, Deathstroke was ruthless, but he wouldn't kill anyone without someone paying him.

The Teen Titans' weaknesses are quite obvious. Zanza Luther has the power to acquire the abilities of his enemies by killing them, so this team is a pretty good market for superpowers for him.

But Zamsa clearly has no intention of buying.

"I'll go," Rune said, then opened the portal by himself.

He concealed something from the Justice League members—the current Queen Super is pregnant, but Rune doesn't intend to let her off the hook because of that.

Even if the child in her womb becomes the vessel for Darkseid's rebirth in the future, Darkseid will still be reborn even if the Queen dies; this is inevitable.

He and Superman are the opposite of each other. Superman symbolizes hope, while Darkseid symbolizes despair. The two constitute the balance of the DC Universe. Therefore, even if Darkseid dies, he will be reborn when necessary.

Just like Thanos in the Marvel universe, he will return whenever the universe needs him.

But after Rune left, the imaging device in the center of the Justice League hall activated. A man hidden in the shadows spoke in a deep, hoarse voice, "Zatanna and Wonder Woman, go after him!"

Batman still doesn't trust Rune.

The fact that he killed those villains so badly that they were terrified and didn't even dare to face Rune speaks volumes.

Bruce had met similar people; they weren't truly bad people, but they held noble beliefs and their purpose was for the good and well-being of humanity.

But the things these people do are often more terrifying than those of demons.

Indeed, upon seeing the runes, Bruce thought of Rashomon. And after understanding the runes' abilities, Bruce chose Zatanna and Wonder Woman as the rune watchers.

Zatanna is a well-informed academic mage with extremely powerful spellcasting abilities, capable of providing strategic deterrence and countering rune spells.

Wonder Woman has the highest magic resistance among the Justice League members. If Rune really attacks, she can provide Zatanna with enough time to cast her spells.

This is also why Wonder Woman later joined the Justice League Dark. Batman didn't expect to completely control this unofficial organization, but at least it could pass on some information to him.

To Batman's disappointment, Wonder Woman did join the Justice League Dark, but no one wanted to include her.

Bruce Wayne took a deep breath, hoping that his countermeasures against Rune would never be needed.

"Young Master, the test results are in," Alfred said, placing the results on Batman's desk. "At least in terms of composition, it's a complex colloid consisting of sol, emulsion, and suspension."

"It includes tiny bits of meat, bone fragments, undissolved solid particles, tiny fat droplets, gelatin molecules, and soluble protein peptides." The butler coughed and then summarized, "Simply put, this is a bone broth."

Bruce blinked. Something wasn't right. What happened to the magic potion that could heal the spine?

A dozen minutes ago.

"Hey, do you know what Batman's been up to lately?" Garfield Logan, the Beast Boy, asked boredly. There wasn't a show he liked on the TV, and he was going to die if this continued.

The person he asked was the third Robin, Tim Drake. Compared to other Robins, Tim's fighting ability wasn't particularly outstanding, but his reasoning ability was stronger.

"I can't say." Tim shook his head. He had guessed some of it, but that was a matter for the Justice League.

-

A blonde girl walked over, twisting Beast Boy's ear. "If you're bored, why don't you train your combat skills? Do you want to keep getting beaten to a pulp by Deathstroke?"

The girl was still radiating heat, clearly having just finished training.

"Please, Cassie, that's Deathstroke!" Beast Boy screamed. "He's the world's strongest mercenary—"

"I think Cassie is right," Tim shrugged.

The girl who taught Beast Boy a lesson is named Casey Sandmark. She is the second Wonder Girl, just like Robin in Batman. Wonder Girl is Wonder Woman's sidekick.

But Casey's idol is actually the first Wonder Girl, Donna Troy, so he often wears a black wig as a disguise when he's doing good deeds.

Raven didn't participate in the dispute; she simply read her book in silence. For her, being able to settle down and enjoy a peaceful life was a rare treat.

But clearly, being a hero means being prepared to be attacked by villains frequently.

boom!

A massive bolt of lightning struck the Teen Titans headquarters with a deafening roar, shattering all the glass in an instant, and destroying the walls of the floor where Tim and his group were located.

"Who are you?" Tim immediately switched to battle mode and shouted in the direction from which the attack came.

"I?"

Two figures emerged from the smoke, and their appearance caused Tim's expression to change drastically.

Louise Lane and Luther with hair?

Raven, Wonder Girl, and Beast Boy stood beside Tim, watching the two warily. The crucial point was that the other members of the Teen Titans were not at headquarters for various reasons.

These two are members of the crime syndicate, Super Queen and Zamsa.

"We will be the masters of this world—"

"But you aren't yet!" Tim narrowed his eyes. "And you're not from this world, are you?"

"So what if I do?" Zanshaluthor retorted, his hands behind his back, his face radiating a chilling aura. To defeat that terrifying mage, to become the ruler of this universe, he needed nourishment, nourishment powerful enough.

Tim continued, "Because there's someone in our world who looks a lot like you. His name is Luther." Mentioning Luther, Zamsa was furious. He got information about Luther from the grid's information stream and wanted to kill him first and then impersonate Luther in this world. But he didn't expect that this Luther would have a trump card like Doomsday.

In the end, the not-so-bright Luther suffered a silent loss and had no choice but to settle for second best, choosing the Teen Titan as his second target.

And this anger naturally needs to be vented.

Immediately, a spear made of lightning appeared in Zamsa's hand.

"Die!"
