Rune leaned close to Homelander's ear and whispered, "Have you ever considered that you're actually the knock-off? Otherwise, why can't you beat Clark?"
Upon hearing this, Homelander's expression turned to despair, because he actually felt that what Rune said made sense. Who would allow a precious test subject to endure cruel experiments from such a young age? Unless the test subject was a pathetic clone.
