Chapter 213 Welcome to the Movie: The First Half of Kang's Life
Although Cytorak is an evil god, he prefers watching TV series and anime, so the Crimson Lord caught the Serpent of Memory and began to examine the memories within it.
He saw Constantine's magnificent life up to that point, how this sorcerer used language, charm, and strategy to survive between angels and demons—Constantine was essentially dancing on a tightrope, one wrong step and he would fall into the abyss, his body and soul destroyed.
Everything was seen in an instant by Setorak. He nodded, seemingly unsatisfied.
"Very good. You are an interesting insect—cunning and tenacious. You manipulate the darkness, yet you dare not truly step into it and embrace it fully." The evil god smiled as he commented on Constantine's first half of life. Although his words were often sarcastic, his smile revealed that he was actually quite satisfied.
"You have great potential." He stood up, looking down at Constantine. "But sadly, you are neither evil enough to rule Hell, nor noble enough to ascend to Heaven. You are destined to eke out a living on Earth. But thankfully, your struggles do amuse me. I ask you, Constantine—"
"Would you like to become my messenger?"
"I would be very willing to be your messenger, great Crimson Lord, generous Cyttorak," Constantine bowed respectfully, beads of sweat forming on his forehead as he hoped his next words would not offend this terrible god: "But for personal reasons, I cannot be your messenger to spread your anger and despair."
As he spoke, Constantine revealed his wrist, on which was an inverted pentagram. Rune immediately recognized the magical aura emanating from it—it was Satan, also known as Lucifer.
As the strongest being in the DC Universe besides God, Lucifer's power is undeniable; he possesses half of God's power.
It still exudes terrifying power even in the Marvel Universe.
Constantine thought his refusal would anger Cyttorak, but Cyttorak simply nodded and sat down again—he—sat down again!
Seeing Constantine's surprise, Rune whispered a reminder: "Cetorak really doesn't care about your offense. Judging from his standards for choosing envoys, you are actually the unqualified one. I guess he was just acting on a whim. Your refusal will actually keep his envoys a certain degree of purity."
"That's right." After hearing Rune's words, Cytorak nodded: "You don't fit my aesthetic. You're neither strong nor fierce, and you look too weak."
In other words, Constantine was disliked, but even so, he had to put on a smiling face—because he was simply no match for him. "Besides Constantine, there are many other people in our universe whose stories are equally fascinating," Rune declared loudly.
He looked directly at the god and presented his terms, to which Setorak immediately nodded in agreement.
"However, if that universe isn't interesting enough, I'll stop working on it," Cytora cautioned. And on that point—Runn had nothing to worry about; the future DC universe would be full of amazing stories.
In the ensuing negotiations, Cytorak directly copied Vishanti's magic loan ratio and stuck to that plan, remaining unmoved no matter how eloquently Constantine spoke. As a result, everyone was happy except for Constantine.
Having obtained their respective representative items from the four gods, Rune and Doctor Fate returned to the DC Universe and began preparing to introduce these four deities to infuse the entire universe with a new magical system.
Meanwhile, on a remote island in the DC Universe, a beautiful woman lay quietly in a chair, intently reading a black magic book. Around her were many adorable little animals, such as piglets, puppies, and kittens. Everything seemed so perfect until a woman radiating a dazzling light approached.
The woman's eyes gleamed with terrifying hatred, and her expression was cold and ruthless. As she approached, the small animals on the island began to revert to their male forms—their original appearances. They scattered in terror, hoping to find their way home, but they had no idea who they were facing.
The next moment, the group of men turned into pure ashes and were blown into the depths of the sea. The woman lying on the chair respectfully bowed to the newcomers.
"Revered Goddess, is there anything I can do to help you?"
The somber old woman finally spoke: "Of course, my dear Circe, someone—someone wants to betray me, no, they're not just betraying me, they're betraying the entire universe, they deserve to die!"
Old Ji's rage caused the surrounding seawater to rise, and the entire island was isolated by a water wall tens of meters higher than the coastline. She didn't even cast a spell, and her magic didn't fluctuate. Her anger alone plucked the strings that affected reality, causing this catastrophic tsunami.
Faced with the powerful being who had granted her abilities, Cersei lowered her head even more humbly, whispering to the goddess not to lose her temper. Old Ji, however, gave a cold laugh.
"Cersei, I need you to stop them—." She pressed one hand against Cersei's head, and Cersei immediately felt a strange, indescribable power awakening within her. She couldn't describe its beauty in words, but she remembered the feeling deeply.
Along with this power appeared a blurry image: four towering giants appeared somewhere in Kansas. They were powerful and unstoppable. One of them was covered in crimson blood, and his movements caused the sound of clashing weapons. The other three emitted white light, but the power they exuded was enough to overwhelm even humans.
There was also a terrifying creature crouching in the distance, barely visible on the horizon, impossible to spot without close inspection.
At the very front were three men, each depicted only as a silhouette, one radiating immense dark magic.
One was a golden light radiating order, and the other was a black and white figure.
When Cersei came to her senses, the old man had vanished, but his decree remained.
"Kill them! Stop the arrival of those four heretical gods!"
Cersei immediately lowered her head and nodded in agreement. Then, she gently rose on her tiptoes, using her waist to move her body, her arms outstretched, and in the leaping dance steps, she changed into a purple robe. Feeling the powerful energy within her body, she smiled softly.
"Now, it's time to make those arrogant and foolish males pay the price."
She flicked her finger, and a portal instantly appeared, with Rune and his group on the other side.
