Under a sky thick with dark clouds, Magneto hovered above the Hydra fortress, his scarlet cloak fluttering in the gale. A cold rage burned in his eyes as the metal platform beneath his feet slowly descended at his will, until it came to rest before the massive gate etched with Nazi symbols.
"Red—come out and see me!"
His voice boomed like thunder, causing the entire fortress's metal structure to tremble and resonate, emitting creaking and screeching sounds. It seemed that even steel without a mouth was afraid of the power of this king of magnetism.
The door slowly opened, and Red Skull stepped out from the shadows, a twisted smile playing on his lips. He wasn't wearing the six Infinity Stones; instead, he lightly tapped his temples, a strange purple light flashing in his eyes—this was the power he gained after transplanting Professor X, the strongest telepathic ability on Earth.
"Ah, Eric, you've finally arrived." Red Skull's voice was deep and mocking. "I thought you'd bring the Brotherhood of Mutants with you, but I didn't expect you to dare challenge me alone? Do you know those useless mutants will die if they dare to come?"
The surrounding villains laughed, but then, under the screeching sound of Magneto and the sharp metal fragments swirling behind him like a tornado, they wisely chose to shut up.
"Who's the coward now?" Eric sneered, then looked directly at Red Skull. "I don't need an army, Schmidt. Today, it's just you and me to settle accounts one by one."
Red Skull grinned maliciously and suddenly raised his hand. An invisible mental shock swept over like a tsunami, its mind control powerful enough to distort reality, knocking Magneto's helmet askew. Magneto then groaned as if his brain had been electrocuted.
Professor X's psychic abilities, channeled through Red Skull's will, transformed into a sharp dagger, piercing his mind. Visions flashed before his eyes—the death of Magda, the mournful cries of his fellow mutants, Charles's despair—
"That's right, Eric. Xavier had the ability to remove your helmet and kill you with his own hands," Red Skull laughed. "But he considered you a friend, a fellow countryman, even family. Because of these trivial things, he never killed you."
After saying this, Red Skull looked at Norman beside him: "Isn't it ridiculous? Hahaha—"
Green Goblin laughed too, his green, wrinkled face contorted in a grotesque hysteria, even bringing tears to his eyes—his other personality had once let Spider-Man go for the same reason, until Red Skull used the Soul Stone to truly free him from the shackles of these foolish things.
So he laughed along with Red Skull, and the other villains joined in the laughter.
"You think you can defeat me with Charles's power?" Magneto roared through gritted teeth, his voice cracking with fury. Although his helmet tilted slightly, it still shielded him from some of the mental attacks, while Erik's will was the true line of defense. He suddenly raised his hand, and the steel bars of the entire fortress coiled towards Red Skull like a giant python, while the metal fragments behind him flew towards Red Skull like throwing knives.
Bullseye watched all this coldly. With a flick of his wrists, pencils, toothpicks, and plastic syringes appeared in his hands. The Sandman beside him roared, attempting to create a massive sandstorm. Doctor Doom said nothing, simply stepping forward and glancing at Red Skull.
Red Skull used telepathy to prevent all the villains from interfering with his battle with Magneto, while also predicting Magneto's attack trajectory. He flashed forward and simultaneously released a mental barrier, attempting to freeze Magneto's movements. However, the Magneto King's rage far exceeded his expectations.
"Your tricks won't work on me!"
Magneto roared, and a torrent of metal tore through the earth. Red Skull was forced to take to the air to dodge, but was slammed into the wall by a magnetic wave in mid-air!
Blood seeped from Red Skull's mouth, but his smile grew even more sinister. "Come on! Eric, compared to humans, you mutants are an inferior race! No matter how strong you are, it's nothing more than animal instinct. But I—Red Skull—with wisdom, will, and pure ambition, stand at the pinnacle of humanity."
"You rely on accidental genetic mutations, while I rely on the true power of humanity: order, discipline, and conquest!" He sneered. "What are mutants? You're nothing but a bunch of out-of-control deformed children who can't even unite their own kind."
"You always say humans fear you? Wrong—we just find you pathetic." He laughed, deliberately provoking Magneto. "You're not even worth enslaving, at best—you're only good as test subjects!"
"Are you finished, Schmidt?" Magneto's eyes burned with cold fury, yet he had calmed down. His voice wasn't loud, but it struck Red Skull's eardrums like a heavy hammer: "A Nazi remnant clinging to life with a stolen brain dares to judge the value of mutants?"
He then unleashed his full power, and a powerful magnetic force began to manipulate the iron elements within Red Skull's body. Countless tiny iron particles were coursing through the Hydra's blood vessels. Normally, this would cause the hemoglobin in Red Skull's body to disintegrate, leading to symptoms of oxygen deprivation, followed by heart failure and ultimately death.
However, as Red Skull sensed this powerful force, his smile grew even more sinister.
"I admit you're strong, really strong, Eric—but can you fight against 'us'?"
Red Skull's pupils were completely engulfed by the purple light, and his voice began to distort, as if multiple consciousnesses were roaring at the same time—Professor X's personality had awakened in his mind!
In his mind, Charles's struggling voice rang out: "No—stop!" But this did nothing to stop Red Skull, who laughed maniacally as he rejected the poor man's request and contentedly absorbed Magneto's rage.
"Now, I will launch a full-scale attack!"
Dark red energy erupted from Red Skull's body, causing his form to swell, his muscles to twist and deform, and the boundary between mind and body to completely blur. The berserk monster—created by the dark side of Professor X and Magneto—was now reborn within Red Skull's body!
Magneto's pupils contracted sharply. He knew all too well the terror of the Mad Attack. Even Red Skull—no, even the villains behind the Mad Attack had completely distanced themselves from him.
The person in the room sneered, "You think you can win like this?"
But the madman was unfazed. He let out a superhuman roar, and his combined mental and physical attacks swept in like a storm! The entire fortress collapsed under the energy impact, and the Hydra soldiers inside turned to dust. Although Magneto withstood the attack with his magnetic barrier, blood was seeping from the corner of his mouth.
"Enough!" He abruptly raised his hand, and the metal veins beneath the earth burst forth like a giant dragon, temporarily halting the relentless pursuit. In the instant the dust billowed, Magneto transformed into a silver shadow and soared into the sky, his icy voice echoing across the ruins: "This is not the end, Schmidt. Next time, I will personally send you to hell."
After some time, Kuang Gong finally regained his senses. He was panting heavily when he waved to the villains in the distance, and a few of the bolder ones ran over.
"Where is the Hundred Queens?"
"She didn't come today," said Sandman, one of the few villains who dared to approach. But the next moment, he was kicked by a furious attacker, which turned Sandman into a pile of sand and left him in a daze.
"Traitor! Traitor!" Kuang Gong cursed.
Who knows where I am hiding? Who has a good relationship with Magneto? And who has the ability to hide their thoughts from me through telepathy? There should be no one but the Hundred Queens.
Although he wanted to fight Magneto to the death and use that to draw out the Berserker, it shouldn't be now; Red Skull hated things getting out of his control.
On the distant mountaintop, Magneto looked in the direction of the raging attack, a rare look of solemnity flashing in his eyes.
