Chapter 82 Pyramid Adventure
Chapter 82 Pyramid Adventure
The arrow in Diablo's hand was vibrating incessantly, and the vibrations were becoming increasingly exaggerated, almost causing it to slip out of his palm.
"The deeper we went, the more pronounced the arrows' response became, as if they couldn't wait to chase after us and find some kind of secret..."
He wasn't too excited, after all, what he had was still an evolved version of the cursed arrow, and perhaps what the arrow was craving wasn't anything good.
He also has to be wary that if he discovers other secrets, he might be seen as an enemy by those secrets, just like that ghost arrow.
"Even at the very center of this place, it doesn't seem to be very deep."
The direction of the arrow's impact formed a straight path; the other tombs it passed through were mostly broken and empty, containing nothing at all.
Moreover, the arrow was already showing signs of not vibrating any more; any more vibration and it would probably explode.
This indicates that he may indeed be reaching the end, having only taken twenty minutes.
"Uh, why did it collapse in front?"
As he walked, he saw a pile of yellow mud blocking his way.
The surrounding area was filled with partitioned rooms, all of which were empty. The only thing blocking the way in front of them was the road, which was very abrupt and unreasonable.
It appears to be a burial chamber somewhere within the pyramids, covered by yellow earth that shouldn't be there.
"...Break through it; if you can't, then move the loess."
The loess walls of the pyramid were completely sealed off, and there would likely be even more loess blocking the way, making it impossible for the Crimson King to break through the obstacle with a single punch.
However, he couldn't get the Red King to remove all the obstacles without any help. It would not only be a waste of time, but also as difficult as the legendary Yu Gong moving mountains.
After much deliberation, Diablo decided to go out and cut a small tree by hand, shaping it into a flattened, shovel-like piece before instructing the Red King to do it.
Red King loosened some yellow soil with his fists, then shoveled it and threw it into the next room like a worker, repeating the process quickly. He was like a miner, but while a shovel is only for shoveling and moving soil, fists are better for loosening it.
"I don't know when we'll be able to move..."
Diablo stood to the side against the wall, watching the Red King make his move, like a farmer.
He was also playing with the trembling arrow in his hand, occasionally poking it against the wall to test its sturdiness.
Arrows are magical creations in the JOJO world, unparalleled in sharpness and seemingly incredibly durable. Even if you forcefully poke a chunk of yellow earth off a wall, the arrow remains undamaged.
"So, what exactly is the purpose of this arrow... is it just similar to a dowsing rod?"
......
The scorching yellow earth made Oingo stomp his feet. "I haven't been here in so long, how come even this damned place near the sea is so ridiculously hot?"
His younger brother, Boingo, was staying in a hospital somewhere on the coast. He was sure that his return this time would be to see his brother, whom he had missed for so long, before trying to find the arrow.
"Hopefully his condition will improve... Six months ago, he was still lying in bed, like a vegetable... Hmm?"
A buzzing sound suddenly came from behind him. He turned around and saw a helicopter that didn't look special. It was Rongrong who got off the helicopter.
"Go back to SPW, and remember to keep in touch and tell me if there are any sudden movements from that helicopter."
"Yes."
After explaining everything, Rongrong braved the scorching sun and officially arrived in Egypt. It was as if he had never been here before, and even if he had experienced it, he had forgotten it.
"What's wrong, sir?"
Then he noticed an old man's lewd gaze and asked him with a smile.
"No, it's nothing."
It was also the first time that Oingo had met Rongrong, and he had no idea what kind of person she was.
All he knew was that the other person was very handsome, and looked much like himself ten years ago.
"This person doesn't seem like an ordinary person... I'd better stay away from him."
Eingo continued walking, leaning on his cane.
"The plane is hovering not far ahead. Let's go check it out and see if that demon is still nearby."
......
Satan had heard about SPW from Trish and knew that his helicopter's location might be exposed because of this organization.
He had naturally left this place long ago and headed to the Great Pyramid of Giza, which was a place he wanted to visit.
"Hey, Satan, is our goal just to keep traveling? Don't you get bored?"
Yedan is sometimes unpredictable; he's the one who talks about traveling, but he's also the one who wants to seek thrills.
"...Master, I'll do whatever you say, but we can't afford to offend anyone right now. That stand-in is constantly chasing us...We have to avoid this situation if we want to seek anything."
If you're desperate and want to court disaster, please don't do it.
Satan did not say it.
"Then let's go on a trip. I'm pretty weak right now, aren't I?"
"Uh, actually not... Our abilities are very strong against single targets. Apart from the Crimson King, which we can't kill, and the yellow Stand, which we can't face, we are basically unmatched. But that's our situation. The Crimson King is not dead, and that Stand is still chasing us. We are not weak, but we still have to be careful."
"But if I don't grow stronger, I'll be hunted down by them for the rest of my life!"
"So we travel, partly to find opportunities. Egypt has so many ruins and pyramids; perhaps there's something there that can help us?"
This was just a guess, something to say to a child, and Yedan believed it.
"Hmm...I believe there's something waiting for me here!"
......
In another world, it was Monday, the day Chen Miaowen was supposed to go to school, the most boring start to his week. But now it was different; he had something fun to do during class when he was bored.
"Bringing a diary to class? To share with your friends? Rongrong? Where did you come from...?"
Chen Miaowen quickly left the house, closed the door, and shut out Chen Yi's voice.
"It seems like another arrow is about to be released. The boss should be the first to get his hands on one, right?"
He rubbed his eyes, saw the orange sunset over the mountains, and felt a sense of joy.
He went to the barbershop yesterday to get his hair done, which made his field of vision much wider.
Although he is still ugly, at least he won't have to stop and brush his bangs aside to see where he's going just because of a little wind.
So he was able to flip through comics while keeping an eye on the cars on the side of the road, multitasking.
"Don't you want to come out and see?"
Chen Miaowen asked Jia Zhuzai in his mind, but the latter did not respond in any way, nor did it show any intention of coming out.
"Looks like it's a monster afraid of light. Are all spiders like that?"
As he was thinking this, he didn't notice that the comic in his hand had changed at that moment. A weakness had been added to the information panel about the Spider Calamity a few dozen pages after the current storyline: it was afraid of light.
