Two afterimages, one blue and one red, collided dozens of times in a single second.
The shockwave tore a vacuum band twenty kilometers in diameter out of the clouds. Ian's pupils contracted sharply as his retina caught the trail of the two crossing the Carmen Line.
"Damn it! I'm losing sight of him!" Ian looked up from the ground, his golden pupils locked onto his father's figure, but the battle environment between the two superheroes rose higher and higher.
His vision gradually blurred.
"This is a trick by the fake Superman!" Ian immediately realized what Injustice Superman was trying to do, and he quickly took to the air, breaking the sound barrier and soaring into the sky.
however.
As he burst out of the atmosphere, a sudden feeling of suffocation overwhelmed him.
“Space is also part of the sky! I am the tyrant of the sky, why should I need to breathe?!” Ian gritted his teeth, trying to convince his body.
However, his lungs clearly weren't going to accept this fallacy. In the instant his consciousness began to fade, he had to change direction and awkwardly plummet back into the atmosphere.
It floated heavily in the clouds, panting.
Not dying doesn't mean you won't fall into a coma due to lack of oxygen.
This wave.
Injustice Superman had indeed figured out his weakness—he deliberately dragged Clark into space, all the way to the barren surface of the moon. There, no evil boy interfered with his battle with Clark.
The influence of the red sun on him completely disappeared.
The energy supplied to Clark by the yellow sun had lost its target. As his power began to recover, Injustice Superman punched Clark into a nearby celestial body.
——Boom! ! !
A dust flower exploded on the surface of the moon.
Clark's body was deeply embedded in the lunar soil.
The crater's rock face collapsed upon impact. His vision blurred for a moment, but his superhuman resilience brought him back to his senses. He struggled to his feet and looked up.
Injustice Superman is already hovering above the moon.
"You know what, Clark?" Injustice Superman's voice couldn't travel in a vacuum, but Clark's super hearing as a Kryptonian still allowed him to catch that cold tone.
"In the vacuum of the universe, no one will hear your screams. I will let you die with dignity... Your children will only remember the most heroic moments you faced me."
Injustice Superman is actually quite considerate of others.
"Zizzizi~"
However, Clark responded to him with heat rays.
A surge of red light filled this barren land.
Injustice Superman swooped down, withstanding Clark's heat blast, and aimed his fist at Clark's head. Clark barely managed to roll away, and the moon's surface exploded into a giant crater where he had been standing.
This blow from Injustice Superman.
It was far more terrifying than a nuclear bomb of maximum yield. Clark used his heat vision again, the crimson beam slicing through the darkness, but Unjust Superman easily dodged it by simply tilting his head slightly.
He regained his overwhelming power.
"Your attack is ridiculous."
Injustice Superman sneered.
“Just like your weak belief, it’s worthless.” He appeared in front of Clark in an instant, grabbed Clark’s head, and slammed Clark hard onto the lunar surface.
Once, twice, three times... each impact caused the lunar crust to tremble, and dust surged like ocean waves.
"Do you think you can change everything with just one child?"
Injustice spoke in a deep voice, as if it came from the depths of hell, "You are too weak, Clark. Your weakness prevents you from truly controlling the infinite power within you."
"Your so-called mercy and perseverance are no match for my ironclad laws." Injustice Superman stomped on Clark's chest, and the moon dust surged like waves under the impact.
“You, like the other Supermen in the universe, have reached your end. As always, I have won.” Injustice Superman’s tone was devoid of joy or excitement.
Instead, it carries a sense of indescribable complexity.
“You are no longer Superman.” Blood trickled from the corner of Clark’s mouth. In the silence of the vacuum, his voice was firm, enough to be heard by another Kryptonian.
"The one who died doesn't deserve to be called Superman." Injustice Superman coldly retorted, raising his fist high, and the next second, his fist smashed down like a meteorite!
"boom--!"
Clark's head caved in from the impact, and the lunar rock surface cracked, creating a deep crater that sank into the Earth's core. His vision blurred, and all he could hear was the sound of his own blood rushing to his ears.
"Don't worry, I'll take good care of your family." Injustice Superman leaned down, his tone eerily calm, and raised his fist again. "I'll do everything a Superman is supposed to do."
My family... doesn't need you to take care of them!
Clark tried to resist, but his hands were smashed off by his opponent. In his struggle, he could only let out painful roars as he watched his opponent's fist fall on his head again.
"boom!!"
Clark's head dented again.
Blood splattered.
Undeterred, Injustice continued, "And that boy... I will investigate his existence. Perhaps, he too is a mistake that should be eliminated."
This is the conclusion that Injustice Superman came to after careful consideration.
Kryptonians shouldn't be like that.
No universe contains such a variable.
They consciously shouldered their mission.
Injustice doesn't want to let any species that might be an alien invasion get away with it—even if it really is Lois's child, mistakes that need to be cleaned up must be cleaned up.
This is the ironclad rule he adheres to.
I will not waver for anyone.
“God is dead, Clark. We must find a true savior among ourselves, but unfortunately, it won’t be you.” Injustice Superman said, raising his fist again.
however.
"Don't... touch my child!!!"
Clark, whose skull is sunken.
His eyes suddenly turned bloodshot!
A single sentence from Unjust Superman seemed to have touched a nerve with him.
Two intense heat rays erupted forth, catching Injustice Superman off guard. He immediately unleashed his own heat ray to counter them—the crimson beams in the eyes of the two Supermen intertwined in the vacuum.
It burst forth with dazzling brilliance.
However, to everyone's surprise, Clark's heat rays were gradually suppressing Injustice Superman! Injustice Superman was shocked to find that his rays were being pushed back by the opponent!
"why?"
He was greatly puzzled.
"You have no idea what responsibility is, no idea why we are called supermen... That's why you can't understand that judgment and conquest never bring hope!"
Clark roared, his vision already blurred, but at this moment, countless images that others could not see flashed across his retina.
Mother Martha is baking apple pie in the kitchen.
The aroma permeated the entire farm.
Jonathan stood in the wheat field and smiled at him.
Louise, in the Daily Planet office, smiled and handed him a cup of coffee—while Ian and Jordan were engaged in a fierce battle on the sofa over the remote control.
These are all bits and pieces from the past.
It is the happiness that Clark has always protected.
now.
They burned in Clark's blood.
"How could someone like you be worthy of taking care of my family!" Clark's voice could not be heard in the vacuum, but Unjust Superman seemed to hear his roar.
Golden light.
It bloomed from Clark's body.
It seemed as if boundless power was surging from his body.
"what is that!"
Injustice Superman watched in shock as his heat rays were completely suppressed. His brain made a decision, so he had to retreat and dodge, otherwise he knew his head would be pierced through.
"This is impossible!"
Injustice Superman's face was filled with disbelief and astonishment as he looked at Clark, who had stood up again, bathed in golden light, his injuries healing at a visible speed.
This scene shocked Injustice Superman, and Ironblood Conqueror couldn't help but look up at the universe. The sun was not on this side, and Clark's Yellow Sun supply should have been extremely weak.
and so.
That light didn't come from the sun?
"What...what did you do?!"
Injustice Superman finally lost his composure.
Clark didn't answer; he simply raised his fist slowly, golden energy flowing between his fingers. It wasn't light from the sun, but light from within.
It is true belief.
"Isn't this right?"
Injustice Superman felt his mind was going blank.
“I don’t need to bask in the sun.” Clark gently raised his hand, a ball of blazing golden energy gathering in his palm. “Because… the sun has always been in my heart.”
His body radiated a liquid gold-like light.
In a trance.
Injustice seemed to see one figure after another in it. It was Ian, it was Jordan, it was Jonathan, it was Lois, and Injustice felt he saw many other figures as well.
I'm clearly so much better than you!
