Chapter 302 The God Encounters Danger
Chapter 302 The God Encounters Danger
Thick clouds churned across the sky, and the figure of the celestial being, like a golden lightning bolt, pierced through the gloom and landed steadily before the temple. The moment he stepped inside, his pupils contracted sharply. The once magnificent temple was now a ruin, with broken statues scattered everywhere, and the air filled with a pungent smell of burning and decay.
"This is...?" the god murmured to himself, his voice filled with shock and confusion. He moved slowly, each step kicking up clouds of dust. As he approached the back of the temple, a sinister and eerie aura swept over him, instantly putting him on alert. "Who exactly are you?" the god's voice was deep and majestic, echoing in the empty hall.
A sinister laugh suddenly rang out, and Carrick II emerged from the shadows with unsettling steps. "Gods, it's been a long time! Welcome to my temple." He wore a cunning smile, his voice sharp and piercing.
The celestial being's gaze was piercing as he stared intently at Carrick II, and said in a deep voice, "It's you, Carrick II! How did you escape from the Death Zone? I've heard that those foolish demons have been stirring in the shadows lately; it seems you've been behind it all!"
Carrick II's smile grew even more ferocious, and he let out a burst of maniacal laughter: "God, all these years have passed, and your arrogant nature hasn't changed at all!"
The god remained outwardly calm, but inwardly he was anxious: "BoBo, where are you?"
Carrick II seemed to see through the thoughts of the gods, a strange smile appearing on his face as he slowly extended his left hand: "Is this what you're looking for?" In his palm was a glass bottle, inside which was Mr. Popo.
"You didn't expect that, did you? Mr. Bobo, who has guarded the temple for so many years, is nothing more than this in my hands!" King Carrick II's laughter echoed in the hall, tinged with madness.
The god said, "What are you doing here? Don't you know your own identity? Or is it that your ambition to covet the position of god hasn't been extinguished yet?"
Seeing this, Carrick II laughed even more arrogantly: "That's right! I will replace you, you foolish god, and rule this world!"
The god's gaze was piercing as he stared at Carrick II, his voice calm and measured: "You want the throne of God? Who gave you permission to inherit it!"
"Hahahaha!" Carrick II threw his head back and laughed wildly, his eyes flashing with madness and greed. "It seems you want to use your abilities to stop me, just what I wanted! Then let me see what makes you think you can stop me!" As soon as he finished speaking, his aura surged, his eyes flashed with ferocity, and four dark energy bullets, accompanied by ear-piercing shrieks, shot out from his body like wild horses, rushing fiercely towards the god.
This sudden attack was as fast as lightning. The god had no time to think; his body was instantly sent flying by the powerful impact.
The celestial being suddenly flipped over in mid-air, using the recoil to quickly turn back and rise like a shooting star, cleverly avoiding the fatal attack of the energy blast.
However, several energy projectiles, like manipulated evil shadows, traced eerie arcs in the air, relentlessly pursuing the Celestial God. With a deafening boom, the energy projectiles slammed into the Celestial God, instantly sending sparks flying and a shockwave surging. Fortunately, the Celestial God reacted swiftly, his protective shield flashing brightly, like an unbreakable wall, completely blocking the impact of the energy projectiles and leaving him unharmed.
Before the god could even catch his breath, a sharp whooshing sound came from behind. Turning around, he saw Carrick II had appeared behind him like a ghost, his cane whistling through the air as he slammed it down on the god's head. The god couldn't dodge in time, let out a muffled groan, and staggered forward.
The god, consumed by rage, unleashed a torrent of light from his body like a volcanic eruption, his powerful aura causing the surrounding air to vibrate and hum. Carrick II was sent flying by this overwhelming force, crashing headfirst into the roof of the temple. With a loud crack, a large hole was smashed in the roof, and rubble rained down. Then, Carrick II tumbled haphazardly from the ruins, landing on the dusty ground and raising a cloud of grey smoke.
The god's gaze sharpened as he locked onto Carrick II, extending his right hand and gathering energy, preparing to deliver a fatal blow. Suddenly, a strange, chilling sense of restraint swept over him from all directions, causing the god to freeze, unable to move an inch.
Unbeknownst to them, the Four Heavenly Kings of the Demon Lord had quietly appeared. They occupied four positions, each unfurling a giant net emitting a ghostly light.
It was the same strange formation that had once trapped Mr. Bobo.
Carrick II staggered to his feet from the rubble, his gaze fixed menacingly on the god suspended in mid-air. He burst into unrestrained laughter, the sound echoing through the ruined temple: "God! If you know what's good for you, kneel down and beg for mercy. Perhaps if I'm in a good mood, I might consider sparing your life and making you my subordinate!"
The god frowned, his eyes revealing undisguised contempt: "Don't be delusional. You want me to beg for mercy? Absolutely not!"
Carrick II had anticipated this and, instead of being angered, let out a sinister laugh. He slowly extended his right hand, his fingers spread wide, and several beams of eerie light instantly shot from his fingertips. These beams of light rapidly darted and intertwined in the air, forming a massive ring around the god in the blink of an eye, trapping him firmly within. As Carrick II chanted incantations, the ring began to slowly shrink, and the impenetrable energy barrier gradually closed in on the god.
"Hehe..." A cunning smile appeared on Carrick II's face, his eyes greedy. "Right now, I don't intend to kill you. I want them to help me find the Dragon Balls and use them to fulfill my wish!"
The god's heart skipped a beat, and he suppressed his anger as he questioned, "What exactly do you want to do by searching for the Dragon Balls?"
Carrick II threw his head back and laughed wildly, his laughter filled with endless madness: "How much humiliation have I suffered all these years! Now, I will let you taste that feeling too! Until I gather all the Dragon Balls and resurrect my father Carrick."
Carrick II triumphantly placed the glass bottle containing the god next to the bottle containing Mr. Popo, then, accompanied by the Four Heavenly Kings of the Demon Clan, strode towards the storeroom of the Temple of Gods. In the dim light, dust churned behind them, as if foreshadowing the impending disaster.
"Found it! This is it." King Carrick II's voice was full of greed as he held an ancient pottery jar in his hands. The jar was covered with mysterious runes and faintly exuded an eerie aura.
"Your Highness Carrick II, what is this?"
A mad glint flashed across Carrick II's face as he shouted, "This contains the Aqa Waters that my father left behind when the previous god sealed him away!"
"The waters of Akya? What are those?"
King Carrick II's gaze turned cold as he swept his eyes over the crowd. He explained, "Once the Water of Aqua is released, it will transform into Aqua Demonic Mist, which is called Aqua Historic. Any creature that inhales this mist will be consumed by desire, becoming a slave to the demons and at our beck and call!"
"And the only one who can control these slaves is our Demon Lord, His Highness Carrick II!"
“That’s right! That’s exactly it!” King Carrick II laughed loudly, his laughter echoing through the warehouse.
Carrick II eagerly opened the jar. Instantly, a thick, inky black mist surged out, quickly filling the entire temple.
Soon, this evil black mist broke through the Temple of Gods and spread to every corner of the Earth.
