"Officer Matsuda, something's happened! A bank robbery has occurred in Beika Town!!"
The bank? It's been robbed!?
In an instant, all eyes in the First Investigation Division were on Matsuda.
Damn it, why do these lately cases always seem to happen during mealtimes?
Matsuda pursed his lips and could only close his lunchbox first.
"Alright, Takagi,"
Matsuda stood up, calmly walked to Takagi's side, and patted him on the shoulder.
"How can you talk about such a terrible incident so loudly? Go report it to the police inspector first."
Such a calm demeanor is truly worthy of Matsuda-senpai.
Inspired by Matsuda, Takagi straightened his back as well.
"Yes, thank you for your guidance, Officer Matsuda."
"What are you reporting for? Let's go to the scene first."
Megure had already heard Takagi's shouting.
"Matsuda, Takagi, you two come with me. We'll talk about the details in the car."
"Inspector, we already have so many people, do I still have to go?" Matsuda said with some helplessness.
"Matsuda, stop dragging your feet," Inspector Megure said with a laugh. "You're the ace of the First Division; you definitely have to show up for cases like this!"
......
At Beika Town Bank, Megure had just gotten out of the car when he immediately asked loudly, "Who called the police?"
"It's me, Inspector Megure."
A soft voice that Megure was very familiar with immediately answered.
"Isn't this Mori?" Matsuda also got out of the car. "I knew you guys would be here for something like this."
"Heh, Mori, you sure know how to get involved in a good show..."
Following the sound, Inspector Megure also saw the figure of the person who made the report; it was Ran.
Behind her were, of course, Kogoro Mouri and Conan.
Seeing that everyone around him had heard Inspector Megure's voice, Mori straightened his collar and said smugly to those around him, "That's right, it's me, the famous detective..."
"Stop talking nonsense and let's go to the scene first."
Matsuda grabbed Conan and headed into the bank.
"When the bank was robbed, there must have been more than just the three of you withdrawing money, right?"
"No, that's not it." Conan shook off Matsuda's hand. "It was a bank armored truck that was robbed. The location was in the parking lot. Officer Matsuda, come with me."
The two walked into the parking lot, and Conan pointed to the armored truck parked inside.
"Look, that's where the robbery took place."
"They're really bold, aren't they afraid someone will walk by?" Matsuda glanced at the sidewalks on either side. "Open-air robbery, we police officers are being looked down upon again. Hey kid, how are the casualties?"
"The two guards in the cockpit have head injuries, but they are now conscious. No one is dead," Conan replied immediately.
Matsuda walked around the armored truck, then stroked his chin.
"Was it just the person in the driver's seat who was injured?"
Without waiting for Conan's reply, he continued,
"Let's go. We'll leave this to the forensic team and go meet up with the inspector and the others."
......
"Someone fired a shot from the outside, breaking the glass. I tried to call Koyama and Murata on the walkie-talkie, but there was no response. I had no choice but to open the door because I was being held at gunpoint."
The guard who was watching over the banknotes, Kishii, recounted the situation at the time.
He was also the only one of the three guards who was not injured.

"Is the money always kept in the same place?"
After listening to Kishii's explanation, Matsuda immediately asked follow-up questions.
"Huh? No, that's right."
Taken aback by the sudden question, Kishii looked slightly flustered.
"Officer, I was forced to do this, you'll understand, right?"
Matsuda didn't reply, but frowned and stepped aside.
"Is there something wrong with that guard, the one named Kishii?"
Conan suddenly appeared from somewhere and ran to Matsuda's side.
“I don’t know,” Matsuda shook his head, “but the robbers are quite familiar with the area, so it’s unlikely they were outsiders.”
"You mean? There must have been an insider involved in this robbery?" Conan's expression immediately darkened.
“That’s right, but that makes things easier,” Matsuda laughed, “making it easier for us to find them.”
......
In the bank lobby,
"Miss Hirota, where have you been at such an important time?"
The bank teller is reprimanding a pretty female employee.
Matsuda looked in the direction of the voice and saw that it really was a great beauty!
"Hey, Officer Sato's here too!" Conan warned. "Be careful Officer Sato doesn't catch you looking at other women with those indecent eyes."
Conan noticed that Matsuda's gaze was somewhat lewd. He couldn't help but feel a little resentful.
What time is it now? How can you still be in the mood to look at beautiful women?
"What do you know, kid? I'm looking for clues," Matsuda replied casually.
"That's Ms. Hirota Masami, who came to this bank six months ago. Do you think she's suspicious?" Conan asked doubtfully.
Hirota Masami?
Matsuda was inwardly surprised and suspicious, but his face remained impassive.
"I was actually looking at that manager; he's a suspect too."
You should save that kind of talk for fooling ghosts.
Conan curled his lip in disdain. The adult world is so hypocritical!
"Inspector Megure, we just received a report that a suspicious vehicle has been spotted, which is very likely the escape vehicle of the robbers."
The errand boy, Takagi, has brought another important piece of information.
"Really? Takagi, take us there right away." After saying that, Megure hurriedly called out, "Matsuda? Where's Matsuda! Come here quickly."
"Yes, yes, I'm here." Matsuda walked over.
Anyway, we've got pretty much all the clues here, might as well go check it out.
However, the system hasn't notified me of any tasks yet. Could it be because this isn't a murder case?
As he left the bank, Matsuda glanced back casually.
Behind the counter, the bank manager was still reprimanding Masami Hirota.
......
The police car was parked on the side of the road on the riverbank. Megure led Matsuda and Kogoro Mouri down the slope and saw the robber's car.
"Hey, isn't this Matsuda?"
Denmi from the forensic unit had just finished inspecting the passenger seat when he looked up and saw them getting out. He immediately greeted them.
"Tomi, it's been a while since I've seen you," Matsuda replied lazily. "Actually, I really don't want to see you. Every time I see you, something big has definitely happened."
"Stop fooling around, has Denmi found anything?" Inspector Megure asked.
"There were no fingerprints in the car, and no clues were found on the Dura aluminum alloy box either."
Denmi shook his head.
"If anything is found, it would be the gloves and mask left behind by the prisoner, but there's no way to test fingerprints on those."
While they were talking, Matsuda had already walked around the car once.
The driver's seat in this car is quite spacious, so the driver is probably a man.
Instead of Hirota Masami, the only robber Matsuda remembered.
"Hey, what's that pink thing inside the mask?"
Matsuda closed the car door, then leaned against the car and pointed at the mask.
"That location should be near the lips."
"Oh?"
Megure looked down and sure enough, there was something that looked like a lip print on the inside of his mask.
"Matsuda-kun has a really good eye."
"Strange, before committing the crime, he wiped the car clean, and then put on gloves and a mask that wouldn't leave any traces. Did he leave the mask in the car because he was in such a hurry to escape?"
Matsuda took off his white gloves and walked to the side of the road.
“We police officers have really been underestimated. Denmi, could you help me check if there are any hairs left inside the mask? Although it’s unlikely.”
"Do not worry,"
After being rambled on by Matsuda, Denmi was a little confused and responded in a daze.
