Levin pointed his wand lightly, and the ropes binding Tonks snapped instantly.
Then, Levin did the same thing again, untying the gag from her mouth.
"Thank you so much."
The female Auror squinted, her eyes finally adjusting to the dim light. Just as she was about to express her gratitude, she realized who the wizard who had rescued her was:
"You...this...child, how did you get here?"
"I came here to search for treasure, but who knew there were poachers here, and a captured Auror as well."
Levin gave a general reason.
As he spoke, he took out a stimulant from his pocket and helped pour it into Tonks' mouth.
After drinking the medicine, her complexion improved, and she breathed a sigh of relief, saying, "You've prepared everything very well, thank you... Did you bring any food?"
"Here."
Levin handed him another piece of dry bread.
"This was taken from those poachers' camps, so let's just make do with it."
Levin had already tried a piece; the bread was dry and tasteless.
But the female Auror didn't mind at all, and wolfed down the food. She then took Levin's water bottle and gulped down a large mouthful of water.
"Ah! We're finally saved!"
After a series of exclamations, the female Auror warmly patted Levin's head.
"Thank you so much, little brother. If it weren't for you, I might have died here... I owe you my life."
"Don't call me little brother."
Levin, his face dark, subtly dodged the hand on his head and handed over two wands.
“My name is Levin Green—try them out, which of these two wands do you feel more comfortable using?”
“Thank you, little brother… Well, Mr. Green, my name is Nympha Tonks. Don’t call me Nympha (Nympha means the small lips of an abalone, which is an unpleasant word), just call me Tonks.”
Tonks took the two wands, tried them out for a bit, then returned one to Levin and held the other in her hand:
"Unfortunately, they broke my own wand. Where did you get these two wands?"
"Where else could it be from? Of course, from those two gatekeepers."
Seeing that she could use magic normally, Levin nodded in satisfaction: "Then, Tonks, just call me Levin. Can you stand up? Can you walk?"
"...I'll give it a try. Hey, Levin, can't you hold me up a bit?"
Tonks tried to stand up on his own.
However, the prolonged restraints left her hands and feet numb, and she stumbled and fell with the slightest exertion, so she had to ask Levin for help.
Levin found her disheveled appearance amusing, so he put Tonks's arm on his shoulder, helped her up, and led her into the small room for "rehabilitation training."
Soon, the effects of the invigorating potion and the bread took hold.
Tonks recovered slightly from the numbness, then broke free from his support and took a few steps on his own.
Feeling that he could move normally, Tonks immediately walked out of the room with Levin, asking with concern as they went, "You said you encountered two poachers on your way here and they stole their wands. What did you do to them?"
“What else can we do? We can’t kill them, and we’re afraid they’ll report us, so of course we’ll trap them. Look, like this, I’ve left the other one at the gate.”
Levin led Tonks to the poachers' camp and pointed out the blond wizard who was frozen in ice to Tonks.
It wasn't until he saw it with his own eyes that Tonks believed that the young boy in front of him had truly single-handedly defeated two adult wizards.
This surprised her greatly, especially seeing that he used the rather rare magic of "freezing":
"I never expected that you, at such a young age, would possess such powerful spells. I definitely couldn't have done this when I was your age... but..."
Tonks hesitated for a moment before speaking, "You're so young, you should be at school, playing with your classmates. You shouldn't be involved in this kind of thing... Are you also from Hogwarts? What year are you in?"
"I just joined Hogwarts this year, and I'm a Ravenclaw."
Although he knew his age was a problem, being treated like a child still made Levin roll his eyes in annoyance.
"Age has no direct relation to maturity, Tonks. Don't forget you were saved by me, a kid!"
Levin's words left Tonks speechless, and all the advice he had prepared was stuck in his throat.
Yes, no matter how much I pride myself on being older and more mature, I was still captured by a poacher team in one fell swoop.
The child who saved him was able to take on two adult wizards single-handedly.
Looking at it this way, I realize that I was indeed as reckless as my Auror mentor had said.
Even this little boy is more suited to be an Auror than I am.
But she wasn't willing to back down verbally either.
"Don't be so impulsive, junior. This is your senior sharing her valuable life experience. I'm a Hufflepuff, just graduated this year, and now I'm an intern Auror."
Tonks said this with a proud tone.
This is understandable, as Hogwarts graduates are quite Aurors and need to have excellent grades.
Specifically, it requires at least five NEWT certificates, all with grades no lower than "good," which is enough to eliminate most applicants.
But Levin wasn't buying it: "It's obvious that someone who isn't an intern Auror wouldn't be stupid enough to get caught by a bunch of petty thieves."
"You actually called them a bunch of petty thieves? If Piccolo heard that, he'd strangle you..."
After Tonks finished complaining, he tried to salvage his reputation as a prisoner:
"Actually, if I hadn't been ambushed, I wouldn't have been in much trouble running away... uh, I mean, if my Disguise Magus transformation had been discovered... you've heard of Disguise Magus, right... anyway, if I hadn't been careless and not used Flash, those poachers alone wouldn't have been able to handle an Auror like me..."
"Ah, so it wasn't because he was bad that he got caught?" Levin nodded and pointed out sharply, "Then it can only be because he was stupid. He clearly has such a strong ability to disguise himself as Magus, but he still gave himself away and his identity was discovered. No matter how you look at it, it's not something a smart person would do."
"You're such an unlikable kid, always bringing up other people's shortcomings. Even if you know about this, you shouldn't say it out loud. Can't you at least give me some face?" Tonks was speechless and could only smile wryly.
"Hmph, that's what happens when you always treat me like a child."
The two walked and bickered, and then suddenly burst into laughter at the same time.
These two, Levin, are only 11 years old on the surface, but their mental age is much more mature.
On the contrary, Tonks, despite being 18 years old and an adult, still has a lively mindset.
After all, she had just graduated and couldn't shake off her Hogwarts-era mindset anytime soon, whereas as a student she was a complete prankster.
Upon reaching the gate and confirming that the other poacher was still alive, Tonks nodded and turned to Levin:
"It's far too dangerous here. How about I take you out first and then go back to the Ministry of Magic to get reinforcements?"
"Considering Levin's safety," Tonks advised.
But Levin flatly refused: "I don't want to."
"If you ask me, why don't we just go in and take care of them? You, an Auror, can't possibly not do it, can you? According to the intelligence, there are six of them. How many can you handle?"
"Don't talk nonsense! I need to get you back first!"
Tonks was getting anxious.
“Listen, Levin, I’m grateful you risked your life to save me, but this is a battle between adult wizards. I can’t let you continue to put yourself in danger. How am I supposed to explain this to your parents and to Hogwarts? So stop fooling around and let me take you back…”
"Thank you for your concern, but I don't have parents, and I can take responsibility for my own safety."
Levin simply shook his head at Tonks's offer.
Therefore, my choice is to refuse.

Chapter 46 Planning for the Future
Why do you insist on going in?
Tonks was very puzzled by Levin's rejection.
“There’s a whole poacher gang in here. You don’t really think they’re just ordinary petty thieves, do you?”
"I came here to search for treasure, and these poachers are looking for the same treasure. If we go to the Ministry of Magic, at their pace, who knows how long we'll have to wait—and today is Christmas Eve, what if they run off with the treasure by then?"
Tonks nodded. As an Auror, even though she had only been with the Ministry of Magic for six months, she was well aware of its efficiency.
"Besides, even if the Ministry of Magic's support arrives in time, who gets the spoils after we eliminate these poachers? Wouldn't that mean I've come all this way for nothing?"
"Anyway, whether you go in or not, I'm going in."
Levin adopted an indifferent attitude.
"...You, this..."
Levin's attitude put Tonks in a dilemma. Seeing that he was really preparing to leave, he angrily stomped his foot.
"Okay, okay, I'll go in with you!"
Perhaps he couldn't persuade Levin and was worried about her, or perhaps she herself harbored adventurous thoughts.
In short, under Levin's provocation, Tonks readily agreed.
This is understandable; at this moment, she is not yet the mature female Auror she will become when she fights Voldemort.
She is neither a member of the Order of the Phoenix nor knows Lupin, so one could say her values are still unsettled.
Levin's provocation was, in fact, a test.
To test the waters further and explore the possibility of bringing her into our ranks.
Tonks grabbed Levin and said seriously,
"Hey, Levin, I did agree to go in with you, but I'm the Auror. You have to promise to follow my orders once we're inside, understand?"
"Yes, Sister Tonks."
Although he hated being treated like a child, Levin, having gotten the better deal, naturally had to play the innocent.
However, taking advantage of the fact that the other party had agreed to his request, the boy planned to push his luck.
"Um, Sister Tonks, since you've agreed to come in with me, why don't you go all the way and help them out? You know how to use the Oblivion Charm, right?"
