Chapter 43 The House of Pleasure
Chapter 43 The House of Pleasure
Henry immediately understood the gesture, then frowned and said:
"But this is only the first day on the island!"
"But several months have passed since they set sail,"
Benson explained,
"Boss, I don't think you've forgotten that when we first encountered the Black Goat, it was summer, but we never heard of any ports in the kingdom being looted, proving that they only robbed passing merchant ships, and there were very few women on board."
As a fellow man, Henry naturally understood this desire.
It is said that a woman's embrace is the best healing bed.
After months of sailing and fighting, and finally surviving the fiery hell, the pirates certainly needed healing and recuperation, both physically and mentally.
Moreover, they arrived on the island full of anticipation, only to be forced to follow a shipwright in an apron and do heavy and tedious manual labor. One can imagine how quickly their discontent grew.
However, the ship repair progress cannot be halted either, otherwise the black goat will be nothing more than a lamb to the slaughter that everyone can covet.
At this point, Benson continued:
"The pirates spend their days with men who reek of foul odors, so it's understandable that they crave the sweet scent of a woman's neck. It's just one night of tenderness, boss, it's a reasonable request."
"You're right, Benson, but I still can't agree to them abandoning the ship."
In the event of an unforeseen accident, the inability to promptly gather the crew would undoubtedly worsen the situation, and Henry absolutely could not allow such a possibility to exist.
"However, I can bring what they want back to the ship."
Benson's eyes lit up:
"Boss, you mean...?"
……
Henry and Benson boarded a ferry.
The small boat moved slowly along the coastline.
The old boatman suddenly spoke up:
"The Scorching Heart Islands are the home of pirates; I bet you guys are pirates."
"I bet your mother isn't a man," Benson rolled his eyes at him. "Focus on rowing, you old geezer."
However, Henry had no interest in listening to such vulgar language, so he interrupted:
"Master, how long will it take to get to the left ventricular islet?"
"We estimate we won't arrive until evening."
Henry nodded.
The Burning Heart Islands consist of four main islands, with the Left Heart Island, located in the southeast corner, being the smallest but also the flattest, which is why many entertainment venues are located there.
The old boatman spoke again:
"Those who go to Left Heart Island have only two purposes: killing and playing chess. But bloody battles and duels usually take place during the day. You're setting off at this hour, so I guess it's for the latter."
"That's right, master craftsman, do you have any recommendations?"
Upon hearing this topic, the old boatman's expression suddenly brightened:
"Oh! While few female chess players on Left Heart Island possess natural talent, they excel in variety. The girls at Sapphire Inn are the most enthusiastic, while Green Sprout Pavilion is renowned for its meticulous service, taking care of your experience from the moment you enter. And... but, young man, the key is your preferences."
Although Henry wasn't averse to such things, his mind was currently focused on the Black Goat, so he couldn't say what he liked or disliked.
Therefore, Henry could only answer:
"I was looking for someone for the other pirates on the ship."
"Then I recommend the Joyful Heart Cottage."
The old boatman blurted out,
"What's special about that place is its wide variety of female chess players; you can find all kinds of female chess players there."
Benson's eyes lit up: "For example?"
The old boatman grinned and said:
"My favorite is Maria; she's the top star there. Not only is she hot and energetic, but her acting is also amazing. I guess she was an actress in a theater troupe before coming to the island."
"Lilian isn't particularly pretty; she has some freckles on her face, but her teeth are straight, and she cleans her mouth with fragrant tea before each game of chess."
"Beth is an outgoing girl with an aggressive playing style and she prepares all sorts of props."
"The one who is least distinctive is Sephir, but once you play a game of chess with her, you will find that she has long lower limbs and nimble toes."
"Of course, if you prefer petite and delicate chess players, the petite Lisa is undoubtedly the best choice..."
The old boatman listed all the chess friends he knew along the way, and even after Henry and Benson arrived at the Left Heart Island, he still had no intention of stopping.
Although Henry admired the boatman's remarkable stamina for his age, he did not continue listening.
Instead, he strode forward, heading straight for the house of pleasure.
It was a three-story brick building, probably quite old, with its exterior walls covered in gray-black grime.
The signboard is carved with a pair of full, soft lips, which are extremely seductive and suggestive.
Pushing open the brown wooden door, a pinkish ambiance wafts out from inside.
It can only be said that the Scorching Heart Islands truly live up to their reputation of having a spring-like climate all year round; several women dressed in cool attire immediately came to greet them.
They helped Henry and Benson to sit in the empty seats, and then did their best to fawn over them.
Benson was instantly captivated. His flushed cheeks curled into an uncontrollable smile as he began to discuss chess techniques with the woman beside him, his hands moving all over her body.
Henry remained calm.
Benson, however, said, "Boss, since we're already here, why not enjoy ourselves before we leave?"
However, Henry thought of Wilson.
Before he died, Wilson told Henry that he hoped Henry would tell the prostitute the story of his heroic death.
Henry agreed.
Hmm, perhaps now is a good opportunity to keep my promise.
He was considering whether to start a private game of chess when suddenly, two men sat down in the seats opposite him.
One of them was lean and wore a commander's uniform, while the other wore a khaki tricorn hat and was overweight, with his clothes stretched taut by his fat.
Although Henry remained expressionless, he noticed that there were many empty seats in the cabin. Why did the two of them insist on squeezing into this table?
He also noticed that both men were followed by several attendants, and Henry immediately realized that the visitors were up to no good.
Henry kicked Benson, then pulled the female chess player to her feet, seemingly intending to have a private match.
However, the person opposite immediately blocked the exit of the seat with their entourage.
It was only then that Benson belatedly realized what was happening, and looked at Henry with a bewildered expression.
Henry remained calm and shouted, "Someone come here!"
A tall woman, dressed in a white tulle dress with long tassels, led two hopping white rabbits to the table where Henry was.
She gave an awkward curtsy, her thin, loose clothing swaying gracefully:
"Sir, what are your orders?"
"Give us two beers, please."
Henry slowly pulled Benson back to sit down, then looked at the two people opposite him.
"And bring each of these two gentlemen a drink they would like."
Henry noticed that the two people opposite him had their eyes slightly narrowed, as if they were trying to guess what Henry was thinking.
Therefore, Henry added:
"Gentlemen, what would you like to drink? Please don't be shy, it's on me. Consider it making friends."
The man in military uniform said, "A glass of white wine."
Although the man in the tricorn hat hesitated for a moment, he slowly spoke:
"Barley beer."
The tall woman nodded slightly and turned to leave.
Shortly afterward, she served the four of them the drinks they had ordered.
Henry picked up his wine glass, intending to quench his thirst caused by tension.
At that moment, the man in the tricorn hat pulled the tall woman into his arms and tore apart the cumbersome gauze skirt.
The man in military uniform glanced at him, shook his head, then turned and stared at Henry, saying:
"I heard the Black Goat has a new octopus?"
