Chapter 80 Building the Tower
Chapter 80 Building the Tower
Chapter 80 Building the Tower
"It's such a small matter, but it's too much trouble for you two seniors." Ryan smiled and stepped forward, giving the man a hug.
"What's so troublesome about this? It's a perfectly legal and compliant matter, isn't it?"
"That's true."
As the two were talking, wizards and shop owners who were present or passing by greeted them.
One was a renowned prophet, and the other was a staff member of the Ministry of Magic; both were people they needed to curry favor with.
"What brings Mr. Wells here?" a passing wizard asked.
"It's just a small matter of opening a shop," Ryan replied with a smile, though he didn't recognize the wizard and didn't know when they had met before. He then said to the Ravenclaw alumnus, "Now that you're here, shall we begin—construction?"
The Ministry of Magic employee laughed loudly, "It's an honor for you, senior, to see your current level of magic, Ryan."
The two chatted and laughed for a while.
As more and more wizards gathered here, Ryan felt it was time for him to make his mark.
The reason he was chatting with people until now was to showcase his magical skills in front of a large audience, laying the groundwork for Dumbledore to later manipulate his Merlin Medal.
After all, this is the magical world, and magic is power—it's never just a slogan, but an ironclad rule hidden beneath all warmth.
Dumbledore could summon the White Wizards because he was Dumbledore; Voldemort could control the Death Eaters because he was Voldemort. And today, Ryan is about to demonstrate his magical abilities in front of everyone.
This will accelerate the change in people's impression of him, and push the label of prophet on him to be replaced by that of a powerful wizard: "The White Demon King" in people's minds as soon as possible.
As he pondered this, he drew his wand and waved it casually, as if conducting a piece of music.
Following his command, rows of bluestone suddenly appeared, swaying and moving to their designated positions; then, sand and other materials emerged, smelted and formed in the firelight. Glass, quartz bricks, and other materials followed.
Then, thick logs appeared out of nowhere, continuously dropping wood chips in mid-air. Once they landed, they formed wooden tables and stools, already polished and sanded.
The same materials, such as iron and stone, were melted into molten iron by being heated by flames in mid-air and then bound by an invisible mold. After being cast and shaped, they cooled instantly and then entered the building that was constantly growing in front of everyone.
Nourished by various materials, the building in front of us is constantly growing, from the first floor to the second floor, and now to the sixth floor.
The seventh floor.
The architectural style of this section is also quite peculiar; it is neither like the high-rise buildings of Muggles nor like the original one- or two-story buildings of Diagon Alley.
This is a tall tower with intricate patterns carved on its exterior; it is simply a tall tower and has nothing to do with the towers of a castle.
On each level of the tower, there is a suspended ring that constantly sways and rotates up, down, left, and right. It has no contact with the tower, yet it appears extremely mysterious.
In mid-air, alchemical magic circles flickered and spewed flames, diligently tempering the tower.
In just over ten minutes, a six-story tower rose from the ground.
This left everyone present speechless. They didn't even have the mind to turn and look at Ryan; their minds were filled with shock and disbelief.
Some people's mouths are slightly open, and their lip movements seem to say: This is impossible!
Some people had blank stares. They clutched their children tightly, seemingly suspecting they were under an illusion and fearing their children would be snatched away by human traffickers using the illusion at any moment.
Even the Ministry of Magic staff who had some suspicions were stunned into silence. They never imagined that this seemingly amiable junior's magical skills had reached such a high level!
He stared intently at Ryan's every move and at the ever-growing tower in front of him.
At the same time, he kept thinking about who in each department of the Ministry of Magic could do this.
After much thought, he could only suspect that the Auror Office Director and a few senior Aurors who could be considered spiritual idols might possess such magical abilities.
Moreover, that's all the magic they possess, because Aurors are better at fighting enemies, and the various spells that Ryan is currently producing are far beyond the expertise of the Aurors!
As he was thinking, he suddenly laughed and muttered to himself in a barely audible voice, "Looks like I'm really lucky—" Not just me, we're all pretty lucky—.
The growth of the tower gradually slowed down, and the ninth floor was completed.
In Diagon Alley, a place where most buildings are only two or three stories high, a nine-story tower would undoubtedly stand out from the crowd.
"The spell is finished? I haven't seen you cast any spells since I graduated, but I never imagined your magical skills had reached such a high level."
"Perhaps even if I practice my whole life, I will never be able to reach your current level."
The Ministry of Magic staff were full of praise.
"Senior is joking. Everyone has their own strengths. I certainly couldn't handle all kinds of things in the magical world like you do." Even a beautiful sedan chair needs everyone's help, let alone someone who is already one of our own, so Ryan would naturally lend a hand.
"But that's just the end of the outer spellcasting," he said. "Inside, I still need to cast a seamless expansion spell to enlarge the room, and at the same time divide it into areas and install the devices."
Then he erected a stone tablet in front of the tower, inscribed with "Tower of Fantasy," rather than a name related to the communicator.
Because in Ryan's future plans, the communicator is just one part of the equation. Such a massive tower, imbued with a seamless stretching spell...
It's impossible for a business to consist of only one item: communicators.
He gestured for the senior from the Ministry of Magic to enter, and before stepping into the tower, he addressed the speechless, shocked crowd around him: "The Adventurer's Communicator will officially go on sale tomorrow! Grand opening sale! If you happen to be passing by, you'll be making a profit!"
At the same time, a long instruction manual was magically drawn in the air, detailing the benefits of the communicator.
This was so that some people would first become familiar with the communicator, and then, after Dumbledore helped him obtain the Order of Merlin, the communicator would truly become famous.
Sure enough, the wizards, who were stunned by Ryan's amazing methods, immediately went to look at the instruction manual left by Lan. They went from not believing the various contents described in the manual, which were beyond the wizards' imagination, to being skeptical.
"Will it allow young wizards to communicate across vast distances?"
"Can it be carried with you?"
"Especially the low price! The regular version only costs two Gallons!"
"As long as I have magic, I can use it indefinitely!"
Countless exclamations came from these people; in today's world, the appearance of such novel things always causes a stir.
Of course, the most important reason is that the communicator is cheap, so many people are willing to pay for it.
Some of these people were skeptical, while others didn't believe the explanation at all; they just wanted to spend money to support the cause. After all, three Galleons were nothing to some wizards, especially after witnessing Ryan's magical prowess.
