Chapter 2 Frieza's Orders
Chapter 2 Frieza's Orders
As the smoke cleared, the earth was a scene of utter devastation. The Reiner aliens were all dead from the previous bombardment, leaving only the raging giant ape.
However, the giant ape was already badly injured by Rhodes' indiscriminate attacks, and its combat power had dropped significantly. Although it was still irritable, it was at its limit and its body was swaying, unable to cause any trouble.
Upon seeing this, Rod opened his mouth wide, ready to unleash a wave of energy to knock the giant ape down and knock it unconscious.
However, in the next moment, the giant ape's body rapidly changed, transforming in the blink of an eye into a little girl with a tail, wearing Frieza's army battle suit, lying unconscious on the ground, with a heroic and aloof expression.
Upon seeing this, Rhodes turned to look at the sky, only to find that the illusory moon had vanished.
As the giant ape transformed, Rhodes himself underwent the same transformation, and in just a moment, he reverted to the appearance of a seven-year-old child.
After returning to his original state, Rhodes gasped for breath, the aftereffects of his unrestrained energy blasts in his Great Ape form kicking in.
However, at this point, there were no people on the entire planet of Leiner with a combat strength exceeding one thousand, so even though their physical strength was greatly depleted, there was nothing to worry about.
After a while, once his breathing had calmed down, Rhodes came to Loli's side, lifted her up with one hand, and then leaped into the air. With a glance, he flew towards the distant mountains.
They ventured deep into the mountains, found a secluded cave, threw the little girl inside, and then left the cave.
When he returned, Rhodes had two creatures, each over ten meters long and somewhat resembling crocodiles, in his hands. He had been constantly releasing energy waves, which had greatly depleted his stamina, so he planned to roast the two creatures to replenish his strength.
In the open space in front of the cave, the two giant beasts were cleaned up and set up. Only then did Rhodes suddenly realize a problem: he didn't have a lighter!
"It seems that gas can also be used to start a fire?"
Although I don't have a lighter, I remember Gohan using his ki to grill food, so I can try it myself.
Without hesitation, Rhodes gathered the wood and then activated his Qi to release waves.
boom!
The light waves were emitted, and the wood instantly turned to ash; the amount was clearly much larger.
Undeterred, Rod gathered more wood and tried again. However, this time he released less gas and the wood didn't even catch fire.
After several attempts, he finally found the right amount of wood to burn properly, and then started a big fire to roast the two giant beasts.
Before long, the aroma of meat filled the air. Rhodes, who was already starving, salivated at the smell of the roasted meat and rushed to the grill to eat without fear of getting burned.
The two giant beasts, each over ten meters long, were completely wiped out by Rhodes in less than an hour. The feeling of fullness he experienced gave him an unprecedented sense of satisfaction.
The Dragon Ball world has even become Saiyan world, which is really exciting!
Lying on the open ground in front of the cave, gazing at the deep night sky, dotted with countless stars, wondering which star belonged to Earth, Rod felt a surge of anticipation for the future as he thought of the people in the story.
After eating and drinking his fill, seeing that the little girl was still asleep, Rod ignored her and went alone to a secluded spot on the mountaintop to carefully sense and experience the energy within his body.
Saiyans are born with relatively strong fighting power, but their use of ki is very crude and unrestrained. It's hard to imagine that Vegeta, whose fighting power is 18,000, couldn't even sense ki before he went to Earth!
This is incredible.
Calm his mind, close his eyes, and empty his mind. Rhode began to meditate. Before long, he sensed an aura in his mind. Although the aura was quite different from his own, it was still very powerful.
Opening his eyes, he looked in the direction of the aura he sensed, and saw that it was the cave where the Saiyan loli named Ella was. Clearly, the aura he sensed belonged to her.
Is it really that easy?
Rhodes found it hard to believe that he could sense Ella's aura so easily, since he had only tried it briefly and it was not difficult at all.
Could it be because of his talent as a superior warrior?
Or perhaps, after awakening his memories, he possessed extraordinary comprehension?
After thinking it over, Rhodes felt that perhaps both were true, so he stopped dwelling on the matter and closed his eyes again to focus his senses further away.
In an instant, it detected every faint aura, large and small, in the continuous mountain range. As it expanded to more distant places, it sensed the aura of many Lainar aliens.
However, these Lainar aliens have very weak aura. Compared to the Lainar aliens with combat power of several thousand before, these people all have combat power of less than one thousand, and most of them have combat power of less than one hundred.
The perception continued to extend, eventually enveloping the entire planet Leiner and even extending into the universe. However, it only ventured slightly into the universe before reaching its limit, unable to detect any life on other planets.
Is this the limit of 2,500 combat power?
Considering that Wukong could sense the life force in the entire universe and teleport instantly, Rhode couldn't help but marvel at his power.
Most Saiyans are arrogant, ruthless, and haughty. They don't engage in any kind of training and rarely receive guidance from elders, so their combat power is primarily improved through actual combat.
As a high-ranking soldier, Rhode was instilled with a lot of knowledge after birth, mostly combat skills. He was assigned to a team at the age of five and after nearly two years and several missions, he finally achieved his current combat strength of 2,500.
If he combines actual combat with training, Rhodes believes that his current combat strength should be at least over five thousand, or even more.
With this in mind, Rod began to recall the training methods from Earth in Dragon Ball, intending to try and see if he could figure them out.
Cultivation, cultivation, besides tempering the body, is also spiritual practice, and then there is actual combat training.
In practical combat, one can train the body through weight-bearing, gravity chambers, and special breathing methods. On a mental level, meditation practices that exist on Earth are quite effective.
However, although one can think of these things, it is not so easy to actually practice them.
Whether it's a specific breathing method or meditation practice, without someone to teach you, figuring it out on your own is comparable to creating a cultivation system, and it's not something that can be done in a short time.
Weight-bearing and gravity training is worth trying, but being on an alien planet is not safe, and there is no suitable training place. After thinking it over, Rhodes focused his attention on the precise control of Qi.
He is capable of controlling the qi within his body, but in the past he has only released it roughly and has never controlled it precisely. Now he can give it a try.
For example, one can reduce their outward display of combat power and strengthen their control over their ki, so as to exert maximum power with minimal ki.
Without hesitation, Rod attempted to control the energy within his body, allowing it to subside. This process was not difficult; it was accomplished effortlessly.
Sure enough, my comprehension ability is quite remarkable!
After several attempts to stabilize his aura, Rhode began to change his previous method of using aura. He drew out a ball of aura and placed it in his hand, but instead of firing it, he tried to manipulate it in various ways.
He tried everything he could think of—expanding, compressing, deforming—to make the air move. The process wasn't smooth, but it wasn't as difficult as he had imagined.
"As expected, my comprehension ability is now very strong!"
After some verification, Rhodes realized that his comprehension ability was much stronger than before. With some refined control of the Qi, he succeeded without much effort.
"Rhodes, where are the others?"
As Rhode intensified his precise control over his aura, a fluctuation of energy emanated from him, and then, the loli Ella, dressed in combat gear, appeared before him with a haughty expression.
"Dead!"
When Ella asked him, Rod responded indifferently, without any emotion.
"Dead?"
Upon hearing that her teammate had been killed, Ella paused for a moment, then quickly shifted her focus to the mission: "You wiped out the natives?"
Saiyans are cold-blooded and warlike, and they don't have much affection for their teammates. If they die in battle, they blame themselves for their lack of strength and have no one else to blame. Rhode's decision not to kill his teammates who were dragging him down, but instead to save them, makes him an abnormal Saiyan like Bardock.
Therefore, in Ella's eyes, her teammates were not even as important as the mission. Moreover, she did not believe that Rhode saved her; she only thought that she was brought here by Rhode because she was still alive when the battle ended.
"No"
Many people are still alive on Planet Rynar, but the remaining people pose no threat to him. As long as they don't cause him trouble, Rhode will not slaughter them indiscriminately.
"No?"
Upon hearing that Rhode hadn't wiped out all the natives of Planet Liner, Ella was extremely dissatisfied: "Kill the natives as soon as possible so we can return sooner after completing the mission. Rhode, what are you doing?"
"It's nothing. There's no threat on this planet anymore. There's no need to kill them."
Faced with Ella's dissatisfaction, Rod remained calm and spoke in a neutral tone.
Upon hearing Rhodes' words, Ella seemed to have heard something unbelievable. Her mind went blank for a moment, and she stared at Rhodes strangely: "Haven't we always done this? What's wrong with you? Trying to imitate Bardock?"
"Forget it, maybe you've lost your mind. Go back and get proper treatment. Once I've recovered, I'll go and wipe out the rest of the natives!"
Not understanding Rhodes's thoughts, Ella didn't dwell on them. Holding firm to her own principles, she leaped into the air, looking at Rhodes as she said, "Now, let's go back to the spaceship to recover!"
spaceship?
Rhodes knew perfectly well that it was a medium-sized spaceship, belonging to the entire squadron.
Although Ella was seriously injured, she was not on the verge of death. She was just exhausted. Even if her combat power improved after she fully recovered, it would be difficult for her to surpass her own.
Moreover, by training his precise control over Qi, he had further enhanced his actual combat strength. As a result, Ella posed no threat to him at all. With this in mind, Rhode followed closely behind.
After flying for a short while, the two found the spaceship. However, as soon as they entered the cabin, the spaceship's communicator rang.
"Beep beep beep..."
The communicator kept ringing, and just as Ella was about to step forward, Rhode answered it first.
"Hello, this is control center. Frieza's orders: all teams must return to Planet Vegeta immediately after completing their missions!"
