Chapter 28 Obtaining the Bell
Chapter 28 Obtaining the Bell
Orochimaru was just about to leave when he heard this and his eyes immediately turned to look at the ninja academy's training ground.
"Interesting! This little girl can actually create her own martial arts techniques. That's truly surprising!"
Orochimaru licked his lips, staring intently with burning eyes.
"Teacher, you seem to value her highly. Do you want to take her as your disciple?"
"Having a beautiful junior sister like that would be really nice, don't you think, teacher?"
Mitarashi Anko looked at Orochimaru with hopeful eyes.
"To take him as a disciple?"
"This suggestion seems like a good one."
Orochimaru glanced at Anko, noticing her rare moment of intelligence, chuckled, and left the building.
"Teacher, why are you leaving? Junior sister hasn't finished fighting yet."
Hongdou followed the teacher's pace, but couldn't help but complain under her breath.
Orochimaru's lips twitched slightly upon hearing this. This disciple was incredibly audacious; the matter hadn't even been established yet, and he was already calling her "junior sister."
He didn't answer, and left in a few leaps.
On the playground, Kakashi found it increasingly difficult to fight.
Several times, the bell on his waist was almost taken away, and during the fight, he noticed that Uchiha Yo's taijutsu was visibly improving.
"What a talented girl!"
The main reason is that he was severely restricted and could not unleash even a third of his true strength, but the girl was still proud to have fought him to such an extent.
"It's time to end the fight."
Uchiha Itachi watched from outside, his heart filled with horror.
He hadn't expected that Ye would usually hold back when fighting against him in physical combat.
Fortunately, Itachi was not upset at all because Ye's taijutsu was stronger than hers; on the contrary, he seemed genuinely happy for her.
But now he was more concerned about whether Ye would get hurt. He remembered that Ye was very afraid of pain, and although she always tried to hide it, he still noticed something was wrong.
After this battle, Uchiha Ye clearly realized that his taijutsu had entered the next stage.
I never expected that I still couldn't beat Kakashi. He truly lives up to his title of Jonin; none of them are simple-minded.
"I was just bragging to Itachi that I'd snatched a bell for him, but now I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint him."
"Oh no, if Itachi doesn't participate, will he be barred from enrolling? Then she'll become a sinner."
Thinking about it, Uchiha Ye became even more ruthless, instantly suppressing Kakashi.
Kakashi, not to be outdone, unleashed his old rival Might Guy's taijutsu techniques, sweeping them towards Uchiha Hajime.
Uchiha Ye wasn't surprised. It was strange that the two of them, who had been fighting and loving each other for so long, hadn't learned anything from each other.
With five minutes about to pass, she made no attempt to dodge, instead filling her hands with chakra and charging forward.
The other students, who had previously harbored resentment towards Uchiha Ha, reluctantly shut their mouths.
Everyone was so engrossed in the battle that they didn't even notice the Third Hokage standing right next to them.
Hiruzen Sarutobi's gaze swept between Uchiha Yoru and Kakashi, finally settling on Uchiha Yoru with admiration in his eyes.
He suddenly had the idea of taking her as a disciple, but this had to be based on the fact that the girl possessed a strong will of fire within her.
If Uchiha Ye knew what Hiruzen Sarutobi was thinking, he would definitely say, "Goodbye, and don't bother seeing me out."
At this moment, Kakashi and Uchiha Yoh had reached the final stage of their battle.
The wind ruffled Uchiha Ye's hair, and suddenly her eyes changed. She made a feint, seemingly preparing to receive Kakashi's sweeping leg.
She was actually reaching for the bell on his waist.
Although she had calculated the distance carefully to avoid serious injury, the three times the pain still made her grit her teeth and wince.
Seeing that Ye was swept away, Uchiha Itachi rushed over and caught her instantly.
"Itachi, here's a bell for you."
She knew Itachi would be the first to rush out, so she immediately gave him one of the bells she had obtained.
"Now, he should be able to enroll!"
"You can't make such boastful claims next time; the consequences are really too great."
Uchiha Itachi took the bell, feeling an indescribable sadness in his heart.
Everyone present was stunned by this sudden change.
Who would have thought that, when things were going so well, they would suddenly pull this stunt, yet they still managed to get the bell.
"The genius of the Uchiha clan actually got the bell with the help of a woman."
A boy in a yellow short-sleeved shirt in the crowd spoke with disdain, but his tone was sour.
Most of the children looked at Uchiha Ye with a shocked and admiring gaze, while their eyes were full of envy for Uchiha Itachi.
Once Uchiha's pain subsided slightly, he pulled Itachi over to Kakashi and asked, "Kakashi-sensei, do we pass this time?"
"Hmm." Kakashi had already withdrawn his gaze from the previous battle and resumed his deadpan expression, but there was a feeling of suffocation in his heart.
Kakashi took the bells from their hands and said, "Actually, your taijutsu is already far superior to many people. Touching the bells would be easy for you. There's no need to take such a risk to take them."
"It would be even simpler if the two of you worked together."
"Kakashi-sensei is right, but it's rare to have an opponent like him, so I wanted to test my own strength, which is why I told Itachi not to make a move."
"And I promised him that I would definitely snatch the bell and give one to him, so I naturally have to keep my word."
Uchiha Ye responded without any attempt to hide anything.
These words stung Kakashi's heart for no apparent reason. To hide his emotions, he put his hands back in his pockets and resumed his usual lazy, deadpan expression. "This taijutsu assessment is over."
After saying that, the person left.
As for what happens next, the other teachers will handle it.
After the assessment ended, Uchiha Ye turned to head home, but seeing Itachi standing there in a daze, he asked, "Itachi, aren't you going home?"
Suddenly, she thought of something and said with a hint of teasing, "Itachi, are you waiting for that little girl? I'll be going now."
Uchiha Itachi became anxious upon hearing this, grabbed Ye who was about to leave, and said earnestly, "Ye, I have nothing to do with her."
"Also, don't joke around with your health in the future, or I'll be very worried."
He noticed the numerous red marks on Ye Baixi's fair skin, and his eyes darkened.
"Itachi, these are just minor injuries, don't worry, they'll be fine in a bit."
"But I promise you, I will never do that again."
Uchiha Ye readily agreed, adding in his mind, "I'm not a masochist, how could I do something stupid again? She wouldn't have done this if she hadn't already boasted about it."
She seemed to spot someone out of the corner of her eye, and said mysteriously to Itachi, "Itachi, you really have nothing to do with her? She's coming to find you, I'll have to leave first."
Uchiha Hajime broke free from Itachi's grasp in an instant and ran away without looking back.
She didn't run too far, but hid in a big tree, gossiping quietly.
