Chapter 132 Uncontrollable Rage, Dali's Violent Output!
Chapter 132 Uncontrollable Rage, Dali's Violent Output!
Everyone in the classroom was stunned, including Snape.
He never expected that Dali would attack him on the spot, especially when he thought the atmosphere had eased up a bit.
But as surprised as he was, Snape's defense was not slow.
He truly lived up to his reputation as a powerful wizard in the top tier of the wizarding world, second only to Dumbledore, Voldemort, and Grindelwald. Just before Dudley's fist was about to hit him, he swiftly grabbed his wand from his sleeve and cast a solid, silent armor spell on himself.
"Bam—"
Dudley's fist flashed with a dazzling red light as it slammed into the white light shield that Snape had just created.
The translucent Ironclad Charm energy shield barely managed to stop Dudley's fist, and cracks quickly spread across its surface.
The next second, Snape's Ironclad Shield suddenly shattered.
However, Snape, sensing something was wrong, had already taken the opportunity to leave the podium and dart to the side.
"Dullie Dursley! You're insane!" Snape roared as he dodged.
"Are you crazy! You stinky bat! I've put up with you for too long! Dumbledore isn't here, and you still dare to act like a thorn in my side, and you still dare to disgust my cousin, you're simply asking for death!"
Today I'm going to beat you half to death! I'll make you spend the rest of your life in the school hospital! Like flocks of birds!
Dudley insulted Snape and summoned a flock of magical birds to harass him. He then launched another attack, his fist glowing with a dazzling red light.
"You're utterly unreasonable! Obstacles everywhere! Armor protects you!"
Snape took out his wand and cast two defensive spells, the Barrier Charm and the Armor Charm. In any case, he couldn't use spells to attack an eleven-year-old wizard in his own classroom, especially since the wizard was half a student.
Dudley realized that Snape was going easy on him, but he wasn't about to be. He leaped into the air, dodging the Barrier Charm's restrictions.
Snape's Barrier Charm blocked the flock of birds he had just summoned, which were made of magical energy.
He then conjured an air block under his feet, used it as leverage, and his figure glided and charged through the air like a bird, quickly approaching Snape.
"You stinky bat, don't hold back. Doing so will only make you fall faster!"
"Dullie Dursley! Are you going to tear this place down and hurt freshmen from both houses?!"
With Dudley closing in on him again, Snape had no choice but to say this.
The Potions classroom wasn't large. Snape was in a corner with jars of potion ingredients behind him, a wall to his left, and desks and chairs for the students to his right. If he tried to hide any further, he would have to awkwardly dart to the right into the group of new students.
Of course, he had other ways to dodge, but as long as he didn't slink away from the classroom, dodging was just a stopgap measure that didn't address the root cause.
"Oh my god, you're trying to morally blackmail me? Is this how a teacher behaves? Using students as a shield?"
Despite his sharp tongue, Dali temporarily halted his attack and landed from mid-air.
The Slytherin freshmen, still shaken, hurriedly left their seats and huddled in a corner against the wall. Two clever kids even tried to open the door and escape, seemingly to call for backup.
Dudley raised his hand and cast a reverse-lock charm on the Potions classroom door from a distance, stopping the Slytherin student who was probably on his way to report the news.
"Don't be afraid! Don't run! I, Dudley, am clear about right and wrong and never harm the innocent. I'm not like your old bat-headed dean. You'll be fine!"
Dudley offered 'gentle' words of comfort to the new Slytherin students in an extremely cold tone.
However, the new Slytherin students were not comforted at all. A dozen or so children huddled together in a corner, shivering and not daring to say a word or even look at each other.
The Gryffindor freshmen also retreated to the other side, looking at Dudley with some timidity, especially Neville and the female freshmen other than Hermione.
"Dali Dursley! What do you want? I'm going to report this to Dumbledore, have you stripped of your teaching assistant position, and expelled from Hogwarts!"
Unable to tolerate Dudley's extremely arrogant attitude, Snape angrily threatened him.
"Hahahaha!" Dudley laughed, a chilling laugh. "You want Dumbledore to fire me? Hahahaha! Go ahead and try! I'll spare your life!"
"You...you're insane! You're completely insane!"
Snape had never encountered such a situation before, nor had he ever met someone as troublesome as Dudley. Judging from Dudley's spellcasting skills and the magic surging around him, he really wasn't absolutely certain that he could defeat Dudley.
He's in a dilemma: he can't act, and he can't stay still.
As for yielding and backing down, he never even considered it. In his entire life, he had only ever yielded and backed down in front of Voldemort and Dumbledore.
Dali is not qualified!
"Never mind whether I'm crazy or not," Dudley spoke again amidst Snape's hesitation. "Just tell me, did the question you just asked Harry have any deeper meaning?"
Upon hearing this, Snape's eyes widened in shock—the shock of having his secret exposed—but this look quickly vanished, replaced by indifference.
I don't understand what you're saying!
"Don't understand?" Dudley's expression grew even colder. "The daffodil symbolizes death, and wormwood represents regret. A mixture of the two can create a potion that brings death. Are you trying to tell Harry that you feel an unbearable remorse for Aunt Lily's death?!"
"Close your ears and plug your ears!"
When Dudley mentioned Lily's name, Snape was on the verge of losing control. He couldn't bear to have this scar reopened in front of everyone, so he immediately cast the 'Hear and Deaf' spell to prevent anyone else from hearing what Dudley was saying.
Snape was the originator of this spell, and it was most effective when cast by him.
Suddenly, Dudley and Snape's voices sounded like hissing to the freshmen, but they could still have a normal conversation.
"Such a big reaction? Don't you want others to know?"
Seeing Snape's behavior, Dudley's anger rose to the point of near explosion. "Now you know how to be shameless? Why didn't you do this earlier?"
Why did you have to be so stupid and tell Voldemort that prophecy? Do you know how many people you've killed?
You made Harry an orphan who lost his parents, and now you have the nerve to be so aggressive and sarcastic towards him? You beast!
If you just used that metaphor to apologize to Harry, then you are a disgusting maggot!
If you didn't even mean that just now, then you're not even as good as a maggot!
"Enough! Stop talking!!! I told you to stop talking!"
Snape waved his wand, summoning a green screen of light to block the new students' view, then collapsed to the ground in despair, tears of regret streaming down his face.
"Cry? What's the use of crying? Will your crying bring Harry's parents back? Will your crying relieve my mother of the pain of losing her sister? Will your crying make up for the harm you've done to Harry?"
"You stinky bat, the more I talk about it, the angrier I get! I'm going to beat you to death!"
Dudley roared and charged again. He rushed to Snape, first kicking the slumped Snape into the air, and then his red-glowing fist slammed directly into Snape's chest.
This time, Snape neither blocked nor dodged.
He was sent flying against the wall, his bones shattered, and blood splattered everywhere.
