Chapter 4 Id: When in doubt, activate the system!
Chapter 4 Id: When in doubt, activate the system!
"Hahaha!"
Upon hearing the answer from Id, Uru burst into laughter. She looked up at Id and said, "You say you don't know magic? Are you kidding me? You can kill thousands of people without magic? Or do you think I'm a naive and easily fooled person?"
"Forehead."
Id remained silent; was he going to pat Uru on the shoulder and say something?
First of all, I really don't know magic!
Secondly, do you really give people the impression of being naive and easily deceived?
Give me your hand!
Just as Ide was wondering how to answer Uru's question, Uru seemed to have finished laughing. She grabbed Ide's hands roughly and took off the leather gloves Ide was wearing.
"What are you doing?"
Id looked at Uru with some suspicion and asked.
"hehe."
"Didn't you say you couldn't use magic?"
"Then let me see for myself whether you truly possess magic within you. Magic doesn't lie..."
Uru paused abruptly as she spoke, as if a fishbone was stuck in her throat.
Then, to Id's puzzled gaze, he saw Uru's delicate little hands constantly rubbing his rough, calloused hands.
And as Id watched with her own eyes, Uru's eyes widened, a look of bewilderment appearing in them, as she muttered to herself, "Something's not right! Id really doesn't have any magic power at all? This must be a joke, right?"
"I didn't lie to you, did I?"
"I really don't know magic!"
Just as Uru was stunned, Ide's voice suddenly rang out from above Uru's head. Whether it was Uru's imagination or not, she could hear a hint of smugness and teasing in Ide's words.
"If you don't know magic, then how did you defeat those thousands of rebels?!"
Uru snapped out of his daze and looked at Id, questioning him.
"Domineering."
Id answered without hesitation.
"Domineering?!"
Uru was taken aback; she seemed to have never heard of this ability called "Overbearing Aura".
"Domineering aura is a means by which people transform willpower into offensive capabilities!"
As he finished speaking, Ide quietly drew his beloved sword from his waist and then silently concentrated his domineering aura onto the blade.
"Sizzle!!"
Uru heard a piercing sound explode beside her ear, and saw a black and eerie gas slowly extending from Ide's arm until it completely covered the blade of Ide's sharp weapon. Uru also noticed that black lightning was flashing around Ide from time to time.
"boom!"
Then, another loud bang rang in Uru's ears, and Id suddenly swung his sword forward, unleashing a dark slash carrying lightning.
The strike slid forward for a full kilometer before dissipating, carving a deep, bottomless trench in its path and destroying the nearby forests.
"Is this what domineering is?"
Uru stared at the slash that was powerful enough to tear the sky and the earth apart, his pupils contracted slightly, and he muttered to himself.
After a long pause, once Uru had recovered from her shock, she glared at Id and said coldly, "Hey! Now that you already possess such immense power, why are you still so fixated on magic?"
"Because magic is more powerful!"
Id answered with a firm look in his eyes.
"ha?!"
Uru was stunned. She looked at Id and shook her head repeatedly, saying, "Although I don't know how you came to the conclusion that magic is stronger than Haki, there's one thing I must tell you: I have never seen anyone stronger than you."
That's because you're narrow-minded.
Id laughed, gently rubbing Uru's head with a teasing expression.
"You bastard!"
Uru forcefully slapped Id's hand away, her little face turning red with anger, which was quite adorable.
"Didn't you ask me before why I was lying in the snow?"
"To be honest, the reason I'm lying there is because I encountered a powerful 'mage' and lost."
As Id recalled Im's excessively strong fighting power, sweat poured from his forehead.
"Is that so?"
Upon receiving the answer, Uru's pupils contracted slightly, and she exclaimed incredulously, "So there are such powerful mages in this world?"
"So how about this?"
"I'll teach you domineering style, you teach me magic."
Id stared directly at Uru's exquisite face, pondered for a moment, and then made his trade decision.
"You said it yourself, magic is stronger than Haki, so I'll just focus on learning magic."
"As for your wish to learn magic, leave it to me."
Uru shook her head slightly. Although she also wanted to learn the ability called "Overbearing Aura", she was not yet proficient in magic, so she shouldn't learn another ability, lest she bite off more than she could chew.
"it is good."
Id didn't force Uru to learn "Haki"; he respected Uru's wishes, as long as Uru could learn magic, that was enough.
"alright."
"Since you're planning to learn magic, then take off your clothes first."
As Uru spoke, he began to take off his clothes.
"Forehead."
"So fast?"
"Isn't that a bit inappropriate?!"
As Id watched Uru take off her heavy cotton-padded coat, revealing her graceful and voluptuous figure, he subconsciously licked his lips, which were extremely dry from the cold wind.
"Stop talking nonsense!"
"Do you still want to learn magic? If you do, you'll have to take your clothes off!"
When Uru started talking about Ice Shape Magic, he seemed like a completely different person, looking at Id with utmost seriousness and questioning him.
"Take it off!"
"I have to take it off!"
Id was incredibly fast at taking off his clothes; in the blink of an eye, he had taken off his shirt and started pulling down his pants.
"Wait, Id."
"You don't need to take off your underwear."
Upon seeing this, Uru, exasperated, stopped him.
"hiss."
When Id stripped down to his underwear, he gasped and clenched his teeth as the cold wind blew through him.
"Calm down and feel the energy in the atmosphere."
"If you really want to learn magic, you must first sense the magical particles in the atmosphere, introduce them into your body, and store them in your own magical source."
Uru spoke slowly and softly, which made Id subconsciously relax and quickly enter a state of 'meditation'.
"So that's how it is. These blue particles floating in the air are magic particles?!"
Sensing magical energy was no challenge for Ido, who possessed advanced Observation Haki. He quickly followed Uru's instructions, capturing magical particles in the atmosphere and slowly introducing them into his body.
"ha?"
If Uru hadn't known beforehand that Id was extraordinary, she would never have believed what Id said.
After all, even the most talented mage needs several hours to sense the magical particles in the atmosphere when they first come into contact with magic.
"Open the system for me!"
Unbeknownst to Uru, Id silently spoke these words to himself.
