As soon as Kirishima Mai stepped onto the stairs, she heard a soft voice.
"Is that Kirishima-senpai?"
Looking up, she saw a voluptuous young woman with long legs standing on the stairs, holding the handrail and looking down at her.
Due to the angle of view, Kirishima Mai could clearly see the shadow between the girl's legs under her skirt, but she couldn't see the most beautiful part of her body.
“Saito-senpai.”
This was the first time Kirishima Mai had seen Saito Harukori here so early.
"Because Yuka has been arriving early these past few days, I came to check on her." Saito Harutori walked down the stairs and arrived at the stairwell.
“Yes, Isogen-senpai told me I don’t need to get the key, she’ll come early,” Kirishima Mai said admiringly.
Saito Haruka flashed a charming smile:
"That's great, I'm so happy that Yuxiang is so motivated."
Kirishima Mai blinked, unsure of what to say, as she wasn't very familiar with the vice minister in front of her.
Although adults often say, "You'll become familiar with each other if you chat a lot," what puzzles Kirishima Mai is that she doesn't want to socialize much at all, and her elders often say that she is too introverted.
She couldn't understand why this was her own territory, a place that no one else was allowed to touch, and her lifeline. Why should she have to be outward-facing?
It was because of this place that she was able to live a peaceful life.
"Minister Saito, if there's nothing else, I'll go upstairs now. My oboe playing is terrible," said Kirishima Mai.
"That's true... Practice is the most important thing."
Saito Haruka ran her fingers through her hair, a faint smile playing on her lips.
"So, is your goal to surpass all your seniors?"
Upon hearing her address "elders," Kirishima Mai felt a jolt of electricity run down her spine.
"I have no intention of surpassing anyone. I'm happy as long as I make even a little progress. Why do I have to compare myself to others in everything?"
Kirishima May clearly thought so, but no words came out of her throat.
As she stood there like a fool, the muffled sounds of a soccer ball being kicked on the playground and the shouts of the track and field team drifted in from outside the window.
The girl before me still wore a sweet smile, and the light streaming into the stairwell made her hair appear lead-gray.
"She probably doesn't have that plan, but I do."
Just as Kirishima Mai was wondering how to respond, Kuno Tatsuka walked over, put his arm around hers, and said...
"Vice-Captain Saito, don't you think the more talented people the brass band club has, the better?"
Kirishima Mai was stunned for a moment. Although she didn't know how this giant whale had appeared here, she suddenly felt an unprecedented sense of peace.
Meanwhile, she was followed by Yu Goto and Miya Nagasawa, the two of them holding hands no matter where they were.
"Of course, that's what I think too."
Upon seeing Kuno Tatsukasa, Saito Harutori raised an eyebrow and gave a gentle smile, saying...
"Everyone should work hard and not let Kitahara-sensei's efforts go to waste. I saw that he looked really bad this morning. It turns out he stayed up all night revising the score."
Kuno Tachibana bluntly stated:
"I had this plan even without you saying it. I will become the number one in Kitahara-sensei's heart."
"Then we can't lose to you either."
Saito Haruka tilted her head slightly, revealing a sweet smile that could melt hearts, and said to Nagasawa Mia,
"Your instruments will arrive this afternoon. Remember to register with Terashima, he's in the percussion club."
She turned and left after she finished speaking.
"I always felt... that Saito-senpai was a very gentle person," Goto Yu murmured, watching her departing figure.
Misaki Nagasawa nodded:
"Yeah, I think so too."
"what?"
Kuno Tachibana spread his hands out, making an exaggerated gesture, and said...
"I think you two don't watch enough movies and TV series!"
Mia Nagasawa frowned, glaring at Tatsuka Kuno, and said:
"What do you mean? Do you think Yu is wrong?"
"Of course you're wrong!"
Kuno Tachibana puffed out her flat chest, put one hand on her hip, and said,
"She's the kind of weird thing that starts out acting harmless, but turns out to be a big devil in the end."
Mia Nagasawa said somewhat indignantly:
"Reality isn't a movie, and what you're saying is incredibly rude to Saito-senpai."
"Please, movies are based on real events."
Kuno Tachibana stroked her chin with her small hand and said,
"For example... um... math books! They're practically monsters!"
"That's sophistry," Nagasawa Miya couldn't help but roll her eyes.
Kirishima Mai's gaze fell on Kuno Tachibana. She sensed a foolish innocence in this girl, something she couldn't find in Captain Saito.
"Kirishima-kun..."
Goto Yu suddenly spoke, interrupting her thoughts.
"Goto, Goto Yu, Class C, Year 1..."
Even though the girl in front of her didn't talk much, Kirishima Mai could still tell that she spoke with a Kansai accent.
What surprised her even more was that this girl, who was usually very quiet, was able to speak up on her own initiative, which was far superior to her own.
"Ah hello."
"Nagazawa Miyabi," the girl beside her said, revealing her name.
"......Hello."
"I am Kuno Tachibana."
".......Um."
After a brief, forced introduction, the four of them headed to the music classroom.
As she passed the practice room where the oboe section often went, Kirishima Mai found someone sleeping on the podium.
She was only going to glance at him and then look away, but that person surprised her.
“Teacher Kitahara?” She stopped and looked at Kitahara Hakuma, who was fast asleep.
Kuno Tachibana was the first to step into the classroom.
"Oh, it really is."
Just as she was about to go up and say hello, Nagasawa Miya grabbed her by the back of her collar with one hand, and the fabric in front of her chest instantly pressed Kuno Tachibana's breasts flat.
Only a faint outline can be seen.
"Don't disturb the teacher."
"I just wanted to take a picture!"
Kuno Tachibana took out his phone and said with a mocking smile,
"After all, the teacher is so handsome, I want to keep a few photos so I can show them off."
Kirishima Mai instinctively tried to dissuade her:
"In this day and age, even a small piece of information can be seized by malicious people and used as a weapon to attack others. It's best not to do such things."
Chapter 35. Unauthorized comparisons are unacceptable.
Kitahara Hakuba thought that drinking two bottles of Energy's magical beverage in the morning would restore his energy as a corporate slave, but he didn't expect to fall asleep on his desk half an hour after arriving at school.
Unlike the corporate slaves in GG, who can transform into superheroes with lightning bolt icons above their heads and greet the day's work with a smile.
These days, guys are really going overboard. If you want to stay energetic, you really need to maintain the best lifestyle.
When he woke up, it was already past nine in the morning.
Kitahara Hakuba looked up. It was still class time, and there was hardly any sound coming from inside the club building.
He walked to the window and drew back the curtains. The dappled light and shadow under the trees had changed from a different angle. Pansies bloomed among the lush green grass, and cherry blossom petals lay quietly in the emerald green ditch.
"Sigh." Kitahara Hakuba raised his hand to his forehead.
He didn't know whether to be happy or sad. He was happy that he could sleep until he naturally woke up, but he was sad that he could sleep until he naturally woke up, but no one came to wake him.
Two conflicting emotions tugged at his heart like a mouthful of spoiled orange juice and thick soup.
I may have really hurt the feelings of the members yesterday. Did I go too far? After all, they are a group of sensitive and innocent girls.
As Kitahara Hakuba pondered this, he returned to his office in the school building and printed out the sheet music he had stayed up all night revising.
"Kitahara, come here for a second," the ferry manager suddenly called out.
"What's wrong, Ferry Chief?" Kitahara Hakuba asked, but his gaze involuntarily fell on the man's smooth scalp.
The ferry manager looked up at him and said:
"Regarding the trip to the Sapporo Music Festival, I discussed it with the leaders. The school will reimburse 60% of the students' performance uniforms, charter two medium-sized buses, and the accommodation for two days will be the same as in previous years—staying at a hotel that cooperates with the school. You don't need to worry about the invoices; the leaders will handle them."
Kitahara Hakuba thought students would have to buy their own uniforms, but the school reimbursed part of the cost.
He couldn't be bothered with invoices or anything like that; that was the people above him's business, and if anything went wrong, it wouldn't be his fault.
"Thank you."
The ferry manager habitually touched his bald head and said:
"Mainly because this year is the last time, the leaders have gradually lost confidence in the brass band. Although it is a large band in the school, it has never achieved anything. Instead of continuing to invest money, it would be better to give it to the archery band, which has already gone to the national archery selection competition twice."
