5-5 Murlocs
5-5 Murlocs
Mo Bei woke up in a temple, surrounded by a group of fish-men. One of the fish-men, wearing something on its head, approached, startling Mo Bei: "What are you?!" The triangular symbol on the fish-man's head flashed, and it said to Mo Bei, "I am the fish-man Jie, a member of the Mermaid Manor." Clearly, this was the Mermaid Manor; judging from the name, everyone should be mermaids, but they were all fish-men. Many fish-men were still retrieving people who had fallen into the lake, while others rushed into the lake to save them. The Mermaid Manor was suddenly filled with humans.
Just then, a fishman returned, dragging another man along. The fishman, Jie, pointed at the first fishman and said to Mo Bei, "This is our manor's master, Qing Yunian." He greeted the master, "Master, Master, what happened to this man?" Mo Bei watched the two of them talking. The master replied, "This is the one who caused the explosion. I've brought him here." He then handed him over to the fishman Jie to deal with, and walked into the manor.
Yu Renjie returned to Mo Bei: "I'll go deal with this guy first, you can take your time exploring." Mo Bei nodded. Qing Yunian stood on the top of the manor, gazing at the azure-white fox? The exit of the azure lake, and murmured: "Shi Xianke has finally found us. After running away for so many years, changing his appearance is useless."
Mo Bei walked through Fisherman's Manor. The manor was located inside a cave. Apart from the newly blasted opening providing some light, other sources of light existed only in the niches and the lights in the buildings, though there were quite a few, so it wasn't very dark. There were LED strip lights embedded under the trees on both sides of the street, and the houses were also distributed along the trees, with red walls and black tiles.
After passing through a doorway at the end of the street, they came across a relatively large house, and Mo Bei went inside.
The room was large, and a photo of Qing Yu Nian hung on the wall, looking like a funeral portrait; they could request a different photographer. Mo Bei toured the room. In one of the rooms, he saw a manuscript (are these things really displayed so carelessly these days?), which mentioned something about fish-men.
Just as Mo Bei saw the "underwater breathing technology and fish gill inorganic matter," Qing Yunian returned and kicked Mo Bei out.
Chen Wenwu clenched his fists. He couldn't understand why the main characters had to part ways so soon after meeting. It was all the author's fault for setting things up. The dragon used its blazing sky fire to scorch its wings, and Xinghan returned to her despair. They didn't have to meet; since they had, they had to separate again, giving hope only to take it away. They were adrift in the river, their whereabouts unknown. The three of them left Cheming Lake City. The dragon remembered the river's course, and they decided to find an exit.
The city was in ruins, with collapsed houses and scattered people everywhere. Chen Wenwu couldn't bear to see it. Although Mo Bei was important, these people were just as important, so he took the lead in helping them, picking up fallen stones and helping them find their families.
Mo Bei asked Qing Yunian, "What methods can I use to become stronger? I feel a bit weak right now." (More than just a bit, has he finally realized he's weak?) Qing Yunian replied, "Cultivation! Cultivation is the fastest way to improve." Mo Bei asked, "How do I cultivate?" Qing Yunian replied, "According to the second-order of the Cleansing Transformation (again, that riddle-like stuff, doesn't the author hate it?), when the total cultivation value of a region exceeds yours, you will automatically cultivate, so don't worry about that. Of course, you can also control your abilities to suppress cultivation." Mo Bei pressed, "Then wouldn't it be harder to cultivate as you progress? (Oh ho, looks like he still has some intelligence, not too harshly nerfed.)" Qing Yunian nodded. Mo Bei happily asked, "Then do you know any good places to cultivate?" Qing Yunian led him into an arched doorway, where one or two circles were drawn on the floor.
Qing Yunian pointed to the ground: "Go sit over there and meditate. It'll be more efficient that way; otherwise, moving around will cause some loss." Mo Bei obediently did as he was told and sat down on the ground. He felt the surge of spiritual energy within his body and could sense the fluctuations in spiritual energy; it was an excellent start.
A day passed in this way, and Mo Bei quickly leveled up to Spirit God 3, gaining three opportunities to comprehend spirit skills. He then started strolling around the streets again.
He passed by a fighting arena where two fish were dueling, one of which was the Fool's Calamity. A crowd had gathered below, presumably people who had fallen from the city of Cheming Lake. Mo Bei squeezed through the crowd.
Zed used a spirit skill, and the opposing Fizz... hmm... doesn't seem to have changed? Oh no! That Fizz seems to be having trouble breathing. So he cut off the opponent's oxygen supply. So that's what Zed meant!
