Chapter 122 Pool
Chapter 122 Pool
The two monsters, covered in blood and looking extremely disheveled, immediately turned fierce and made a move to pounce when they saw Zhou Fengchen and Monk Yuanzhi approaching.
Zhou Fengchen was stunned for a moment. It was the old dog spirit and two monsters he had met at school. He remembered that Qi Lian'er and the other two had crawled into the water hole with them.
"Yuanzhi, is chanting scriptures still useful?" Zhou Fengchen asked quietly.
Monk Yuanzhi turned pale with fright, swallowed hard, and whispered, "This is going to be tough! I've never seen these three before, and they don't look like they'll be easily fooled."
"Fine, you get out of the way, I'll handle this!"
Zhou Fengchen drew his Goose Wing Blade, and the five remaining talismans swirled around him.
The old woman opposite her let out a strange laugh, her body instantly growing taller and transforming back into the dog spirit's true form, its large tail swishing back and forth. Meanwhile, the two strange figures in long robes each extended their hairy claws, with a wisp of grayish gas appearing in their palms.
This looked a bit intimidating, so Zhou Fengchen simply sheathed his sword and took out his father's magic weapon, the suona.
To everyone's surprise, the two strange men in long robes widened their eyes as soon as they saw the suona, as if they had seen a ghost. The gray mist on their hands disappeared, and their bodies began to tremble uncontrollably.
The dog demon was about to pounce, but seeing the situation was turning against it, it quickly spoke in human language: "What's wrong, esteemed envoys?"
Zhou Fengchen also found it strange, and stopped instead of rushing forward.
The two men in long robes exchanged a glance and exclaimed in alarm, "Old dog, you've caused a huge disaster! The King hasn't recovered yet; this man is not to be trifled with. Miss is finished!"
As they spoke, the two of them turned into two wisps of gray smoke in the blink of an eye and shot out of the cave, unstoppable.
The old dog was stunned.
Zhou Fengchen was completely confused. He glanced at the suona subconsciously and thought, "Is it that powerful?" Never mind, he'd kill one as many as he could. He picked up the suona and started playing.
This suona can produce ten different sounds. Zhou Fengchen played the third one, and the old dog spirit opposite him, in a fit of desperation, bared his teeth and lunged forward. But upon hearing the suona, he screamed and fell to the ground.
Seeing that it had worked, Zhou Fengchen casually tossed the goose-wing saber to Yuan Zhi, shouting, "Yuan Zhi, kill!"
Seeing that he had the upper hand, Monk Yuanzhi, emboldened by a sudden surge of ferocity, picked up his goose-winged saber and charged forward, hacking at the dog's head, shouting, "You'll die, you old hag!"
puff!
The enormous dog's head was cleanly and swiftly severed, splattering blood all over Monk Yuanzhi's face, but he didn't mind and continued to deliver the final blows.
At this moment, the monster's roar from deep within the cave grew even louder. Zhou Fengchen quickly put away his suona and talismans, stepped forward, and pulled Yuanzhi Monk back, saying, "Are you chopping dumpling filling? That's enough!"
Monk Yuanzhi then sheathed his sword. "This is my first time slaying a demon like this, it felt pretty exhilarating! So violent!"
"Come on! Let's go inside and take a look."
The two men hurried inside, carrying their tools. The further they went, the louder their shouts became, and the brighter the light grew.
When they reached the end, there was a strange leather door covered with animal hair. The two quietly pushed it open and looked inside. They didn't know how to describe their feelings; it was just too shocking.
Inside was a circular pit, about the size of a basketball court, with a sticky pool of blood in the middle. Sitting in the blood pool was a six- or seven-meter-tall, naked old nun with a fierce and terrifying face, baring her teeth and screaming in agony.
Dozens of tiny, fleshy-winged vampire nuns crawled all over her body like insects, chirping and screaming.
Six people sat in a row around the blood pool: Qi Lian'er, Sang Rongrong, Zhang Shisan, Duoluomo, Song Xixue, and Han Fei. They each made hand seals and muttered incessantly, as if they were performing a ritual.
Of the six, Qi Lian'er and two others had messy hair and looked somewhat disheveled, while Doromo and the other two had pale faces and were covered in blood, looking quite unwell.
Behind the six stood a bunch of strange things: money people, children, mandrills, skeletons, tigers, and so on, seemingly protecting them.
Monk Yuanzhi looked at the nuns in the blood pool, then at Qi Lian'er and the other six, and felt his mouth go dry. "This is terrifying."
Zhou Fengchen didn't say anything, but he felt a little annoyed. You can't compare yourself to others. He was trapped like an idiot, while the other six had already come over to kill the old man. It was infuriating.
Seeing that Zhou Fengchen remained silent, Monk Yuanzhi asked again, "Is the old nun in this blood pool the one who caused the ghost wall?"
Zhou Fengchen nodded and said, "It should be her. Do you remember in the rat hole under the Shen family compound, the guardian spirit told that fox spirit to ask Granny Wu Fu for help? It's probably her! Your Xiao Hong, your mother-in-law, and those two dog spirits are all her subordinates."
Monk Yuanzhi swallowed hard and said, "That old guy is too amazing. Look... he's having a great time. Shall we head over there?"
Zhou Fengchen shook his head and said, "There's no danger now, why leave? Let's go in and see what's going on, and cheer them on while we're at it."
Monk Yuanzhi chuckled dryly, "No danger? That's good!"
So the two of them went inside with smug smiles on their faces, pressed themselves against the wall, and clapped enthusiastically, "Go! Go!"
"That was amazing!"
"Alright! Doromo, speak louder! I'm rooting for you!"
"That girl from Maoshan, this humble monk has seen you before. Your delicate, orchid-like fingers are so beautiful."
……
The nun in the pool of blood paused for a moment, then quickly screamed again.
Qi Lian'er and the other six were dumbfounded, almost forgetting to chant the incantation.
Song Xixue was the first to react, and cursed viciously, "Two idiots!"
Doromo gritted his teeth: "Bastard!"
Qi Lian'er remained silent with a gloomy face.
Sang Rongrong bit her lip and cursed, "So despicable!"
Han Fei and Zhang Shisan shook their heads with wry smiles.
Zhou Fengchen and Monk Yuanzhi exchanged glances, and Zhou Fengchen asked, "Are we that shameless?"
"No!" Monk Yuanzhi said with a straight face, spouting nonsense: "As the old saying goes, an audience member who doesn't applaud isn't a good audience member, and a tailor who doesn't enjoy a good show isn't a good driver!"
Zhou Fengchen chuckled, "Monk, what you said makes perfect sense."
Monk Yuanzhi gave a flourish with a fist and palm salute, "You're too kind! Let's strive together!"
Doromo and the others were so angry they almost twisted their noses. What kind of nonsense was this? They simply focused on their own thoughts, chanting incantations and making hand seals, treating them like air.
It's pointless if no one gives feedback. Zhou Fengchen and Monk Yuanzhi stopped and stared at the old nun in the blood pool.
At this moment, the old nun struggled and screamed incessantly. Her skin slowly cracked open, revealing the black, grotesque flesh inside, while the vampire nuns on her body kept spitting blood to mend these cracks.
Monk Yuanzhi felt a chill run down his spine. "Brother, what... what the hell are you doing? It's disgusting."
Zhou Fengchen smiled. "The monsters are struggling; they are performing a ritual."
Monk Yuanzhi handed the knife to Zhou Fengchen, winked at him, and said, "Take this opportunity and kill that hairy monster, Doromo, with one strike!"
Zhou Fengchen frowned and said, "How can that be? He's killing demons right now, which is the righteous path. If I go and ambush him, I'll be no different from evil heretics!"
Monk Yuanzhi curled his lip, "Come on, you'll get yourself killed by your weird principles sooner or later."
As the two were talking, the scene suddenly changed.
The giant nun let out a loud cry, opened her mouth, and swallowed all the blood-sucking little nuns on her body. Then, more and more cracks appeared on her body, and finally, her entire "human skin" shed, turning her into a giant bat the size of several trucks.
