Chapter 52 My Home
Chapter 52 My Home
They got out of the car with Tom Marvolo Riddle and walked toward the house with the number 3 on it.
We were both looking around, one in front of the other.
Privet Road is a neat and ordinary street, lined with similar houses on both sides.
The house is located in the middle of the street and is not much different from the surrounding buildings.
The house is a two-story building with a slightly old appearance.
The walls are a light gray color, and in some places the paint has peeled off, revealing the bricks underneath.
The roof is covered with red tiles, but the color has faded over the years.
There is a small garden in front of the house, planted with some common flowers and shrubs.
The garden was surrounded by a low wooden fence, the color of which had faded and made it look somewhat dilapidated.
There is a path at the entrance of the garden that leads to the front door of the house.
The front door was a brown wooden door with a pane of glass inlaid in it.
There was some dust on the glass, making the view inside the door a little blurry.
There is a window on each side of the door, with golden curtains hanging in the windows, the edges of which are somewhat worn.
There is a garage on the side of the house, and the garage door is closed.
There was a trash can next to the garage, and the lid was not closed.
There is a small yard behind the house, and a big tree grows in the yard.
The tree's lush foliage provided shade for the yard.
(Dear sponsor, I don't think I have the key to the house. If I just barge in like this, will someone call the police if they see me?)
[Jin: Host, son, the key has been put into your portable backpack]
(It really was in the portable backpack)
I took out a glittering golden key from my backpack. I don't know if it's my dragon instinct, but I'm now completely powerless against anything golden.
He took the gleaming gold key, inserted it into the keyhole of the brown wooden door, and raised an eyebrow. This door really didn't deserve my golden key.
Pushing open the brown wooden door, the first thing that catches the eye is a spacious and bright living room.
The living room floor is covered with golden marble tiles, smooth as a mirror, reflecting the dazzling crystal chandelier on the ceiling. The chandelier's light shines on the sofa, making its golden velvet surface even more dazzling.
Opposite the sofa was a television. I had just come to see the house, so of course the screen was completely black.
One side of the living room is an open kitchen, with cabinets and countertops made of golden solid wood that exude a faint woody fragrance.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary utensils, including an oven.
In the center of the kitchen is an island, on which are placed some fruits and flowers, adding a touch of life and vitality to the entire space.
On the other side of the living room is a dining room, where the dining table and chairs are made of golden metal with a simple yet stylish design.
The dining table is set with some exquisite tableware and wine glasses, waiting for the host to enjoy them.
A huge oil painting hangs on the wall of the restaurant, depicting a golden wheat field with waves of wheat undulating in the wind, giving people a sense of tranquility and beauty.
Go up the stairs to the second floor, where there is a master bedroom and two secondary bedrooms.
The master bedroom is very spacious and decorated in a luxurious style. The bedroom floor is covered with a thick carpet that feels very soft underfoot.
The bedroom features a huge double bed covered in golden silk sheets and blankets, exuding elegance. The bedroom windows are large, offering beautiful views of the outside world.
The two secondary bedrooms are relatively small, but the decor is very cozy.
The second bedroom has wooden flooring, which is very comfortable to walk on. The bed in the second bedroom is a single bed, covered with golden cotton sheets and a comforter, which makes it feel very cozy.
The second bedroom also has a large window with a beautiful view outside.
Next to the window is a desk, on which are placed some books and stationery, all essential items for the owner's study and work.
There is also a bathroom on the second floor. The bathroom is very large and the decoration style is very luxurious.
The bathroom floor is covered with golden marble tiles, smooth as a mirror.
The toilet and sink in the bathroom are made of golden ceramic, with a simple yet stylish design.
The bathroom's shower room is a glass enclosure, equipped with a jacuzzi and a showerhead, allowing people to enjoy a massage while showering.
I'm quite satisfied with the gold-colored decor, but the sink and toilet are just...unpleasant.
(Dear sponsor, that toilet looks so unappealing that I don't want to sit on it, and the sink is so shiny and golden that I can't bring myself to wash it by hand. What's going on?)
[Jin: Host's son, I thought you would really like him]
(Sponsor, I really like this color scheme, but those two are a bit too much. I think even Tom Marvolo Riddell would turn around and leave if he saw them.)
Just then, Tom Marvolo Riddell, who had been looking around the room, came up to the second floor. When he saw the two glaring toilets and sinks, his expressionless poker face gave me a meaningful look.
"Hey~ Don't look at me like that. This was left behind by the previous resident. It's none of my business." I sighed, speechless. It really wasn't my business.
Tom Marvolo Riddle just looked on; he was just an orphan I adopted, and he wouldn't say a word.
"Choose any of the second bedrooms you like. Come with me to buy clothes and food later." With a snap of his fingers, he replaced the two gleaming gold toilets and sinks with white ones.
Tom Marvolo Riddle finally saw me use magic, and he was a little eager and excited, though his face remained expressionless.
"Don't pretend, let's see how long you can keep up this act. I deliberately used a Transfiguration spell to change the color of that toilet and sink in front of Tom Riddle."
I'm really curious to see when Tom Marvolo Riddle will finally ask to learn magic. It's so exciting to tease little Tom Marvolo Riddle right now!
[Jin: Ding—Give Tom Marvolo Riddle, the person you're after, a bath.]
Rewards: 100 Bond Points, 100 Experience Points, 10 Favorability Points, 1 Luck Point, 10 Galleons
(Oh ho~ What are you doing, big spender? I really like this task~)
[Jin: Son of the host, this system believes you will be very happy to accept this.]
(Great, I'll give you a thumbs up~ Chu~)
First, I mentally wiped away my virtual drool. Thankfully, Tom Marvolo Riddle hasn't learned to use magic yet.
Otherwise, I feel like Voldemort might give me an "Avada Kedavra" moment.
I need to figure out how to get Tom Marvolo Riddell to open the door for me and help him take a bath tonight.
I think it's better not to rush things. Let's get to know each other for a while first. If I suddenly barge in like this, Tom Marvolo Riddell will definitely throw me out.
