Chapter 31 Second Grade First Day of School
Chapter 31 Second Grade First Day of School
It was another group of people before the holiday. The seats next to me were truly unique to the Geminis. I was sandwiched between them, with Percy and Cedric sitting opposite me, smiling gently. Oliver, on the other hand, started eating as soon as he got on the bus.
"Senior Oliver, did you skip breakfast?" He took a sip of his coffee, feeling a little out of sorts after a week without caffeine.
"I overslept today and almost missed my turn," Oliver burst in with a tirade, but thankfully Mrs. Weasley had prepared some food for us.
Gemini just can't stay still. They sat in the private room for a while, then the two of them went out to have some fun.
[Night: Ding—A new special bloodline dungeon has been opened]
(Night? Are special bloodlines diverse? Didn't I already have vampire blood? Will the new bloodline override it?)
[Night: Host, special bloodlines won't be overwritten; you'll only have more and more. It's just that when you activate one bloodline, the others will be sealed.]
(What are the requirements for unlocking the special bloodline dungeon?)
[Night: Host, there are no requirements. After you complete a new bloodline dungeon, the next dungeon will be available anytime, anywhere. However, there are time limits for opening the dungeon. You must enter the refreshed dungeon within 48 hours, otherwise the next one will refresh.]
(What bloodline will the next dungeon have?)
[Night: Dragon Bloodline]
(Western dragons or Eastern dragons?)
[Night: Eastern Dragon Clan]
This dungeon is definitely not to be missed; it looks like I might have to stay up all night tonight.
We arrived at Hogwarts soon. Since we were no longer new students this year, we all took Thestrals to Hogwarts Castle.
"Ayers, why isn't there a puller for this carriage?" Fred asked quietly to my left.
“Yeah, that’s strange,” George, who was walking to my right, asked curiously.
"Actually, this carriage is pulled by animals, but you just haven't seen it. Only those who have witnessed death can see it." I don't know if it's because of my death in my past life, but I can actually see Thestrals.
They have no flesh on their bodies; their black fur clings tightly to their skeletons, and every bone is clearly visible.
Their heads resembled those of dragons, with white, unblinking eyes that stared unblinkingly.
Wings sprouted from the bulge between the shoulder bones—large, black, and sturdy wings that looked like they belonged to a giant bat.
Seeing these Thestrals, I actually find them quite beautiful. Could it be that my vampire bloodline influences my aesthetic sense?
“Ayers, can you see it?” Cedric noticed that I was staring intently at the empty space in front of the carriage, and he thought I could see it.
I looked away, not answering his question, but simply smiled at him.
Everyone who heard Cedric's question looked in my direction.
Seeing my slight smile, they all understood and fell silent instantly.
"Let's go, it's time for us to get in the carriage." I stepped into the carriage first and sat in the innermost seat. The dark space enveloped me, and they couldn't see my expression.
The six of us filled the carriage perfectly, and the carriage slowly began to move, following the main group towards Hogwarts Castle.
When we arrived at the auditorium, we had to separate and sit back at our respective college tables.
Even though I won the House Cup for the House last year, I'm still all alone in Slytherin. I've just shown a little bit of my strength, and now no one dares to mess with me. I'm happy to be free and it's good that no one bothers me.
I looked up and made eye contact with someone on the professor's desk. I just smiled at him slightly, and Professor S looked away when he saw me.
Hehe~ This arrogant brat~ Just you wait~ He'll be dating the Potter's kid next year~
I hadn't paid attention to the new students before "Qiu Zhang," as most of them were people I wouldn't interact with, until Professor McGonagall called out that name.
Looking towards the Sorting Hat, there was a girl with some Asian ancestry. She had a slightly Chinese appearance, with long, straight black hair and dark, bright eyes, and looked adorable.
No wonder she later became Cedric's girlfriend; they were a perfect match.
But this time things might not go as planned, because I interfered.
I looked over at Cedric and saw him smile slightly at me, so I smiled back at him.
After all the new students were assigned to their classes, the banquet began, marking the start of another year's opening ceremony. The ceremony concluded with the twins playfully singing the school song loudly.
I don't know if it was intentional or not, but Slytherin and Gryffindor are clearly not on the same side, yet they still managed to run into each other.
"Goodnight, Ayers." Fred really didn't shy away from making things worse, greeting me as soon as he saw me.
"Goodnight." I said it to the Gemini, but at the end I secretly glanced at Percy.
Percy's ears turned slightly red when he saw my gaze, and he smiled at me gently.
After our two houses separated, I followed the main group toward the Slytherin common room.
Once I entered the Slytherin common room, I ignored the little snakes and went straight to my room.
I'm so honored to have a dorm room all to myself again this year, which is great.
Upon entering my dorm room, I first fed Mingyue cat food and then petted the cat for a while.
After resting for a short while, I packed my things.
(Night, preparing to open the Bloodline Dungeon)
[Night: Okay, host, please prepare for teleportation. Teleportation countdown~]
I took out my wand from my portable backpack and cast a 'binding spell' on the dormitory door to prevent anyone from entering my room. Tonight would be a sleepless night.
