Chapter 586 Endless Reversals and the Countercurrent of the Universe

Endless reversals and the countercurrent of the universe

Feng Jing's "existence" began to undergo an unprecedented distortion. No longer a mere collection of consciousnesses, he became a being capable of manipulating all "reversals." Time and space, laws, cause and effect—everything that had ever existed began to undergo a frantic distortion centered around him. In that instant, he felt an unprecedented power surge into his body, as if the core of the entire universe was within his control.

However, this power did not bring the so-called "peace." Instead, it caused Feng Jing's consciousness to expand to an extreme degree, seemingly transcending all boundaries. Every second, his mind continued to split and merge, and cracks in time and space began to form around him, connecting countless parallel universes. Each universe was flowing in reverse, returning to the past and simultaneously advancing into the future. Within his body, past and future intertwined, and everything began to become chaotic, forming a vast vortex beyond time and space.

Feng Jing looked down at himself and suddenly realized he no longer possessed any inherent form. He was no longer a physical entity, nor a soul. His "body" and "consciousness" had merged into one, becoming an indescribable entity—a form of "antimatter" with no beginning and no end.

"What is this? What... am I?" Feng Jing murmured in a low voice, his voice filled with confusion and unease. Each "Feng Jing" began to intertwine with countless parallel versions, forming a complex, incredibly twisted grid. His "eyes" began to crack, and beams of light pierced through his being, illuminating this chaotic world.

He began to feel intimately connected to every particle in the universe, as if he were its creator and destroyer. His consciousness instantly permeated every galaxy, every planet, every speck of dust. Yet, even so, he could not comprehend what was happening before his eyes. He continually journeyed through time and space, pushing the boundaries between past and future, but each time he found himself back where he started.

"What... is going on?" Feng Jing's consciousness began to tremble violently, his thoughts becoming chaotic, as if all his memories and thoughts were losing their original form, gradually becoming a chaotic mess. All timelines began to intertwine, the past and the future mirroring each other, each "rebirth" bringing a different appearance, and each side devouring the other.

"Do you think you can control everything?" The same voice echoed again. It was no longer a single, cold presence, but an echo from countless dimensions, like an endless resonance deep within Feng Jing's consciousness. "You are just a pawn in the cycle of fate, and you can never escape from this."

Feng Jing felt a sharp pain, as if a force was tearing his consciousness apart. No matter how hard he struggled, he could not escape the grip of that voice. The voice carried an immense pressure, as if it wanted to devour Feng Jing whole. Feng Jing desperately tried to resist, but he found he had no strength to do so.

"I've surpassed you!" Feng Jing roared, his consciousness expanding to its limit. Time and space constantly collapsed and regenerated within him, as if the very laws of the universe were serving him. "I will break all shackles, overturn all laws, and create true freedom!"

However, as Feng Jing's voice fell, the power of chaos reverberated once again, reverberating throughout every corner of the universe. It didn't vanish, but instead planted a new seed deep within Feng Jing's consciousness. That seed rapidly grew, tightly binding Feng Jing's mind. Feng Jing's consciousness began to blur, fading further and further away, as if it had become detached from himself.

Feng Jing's consciousness was once again devoured, and he entered an endless abyss. At the end of the abyss, he saw a familiar face—the self he had once "created." A strange light gleamed in this Feng Jing's eyes, and a hint of a sneer lingered in his gaze, as if mocking all of Feng Jing's efforts and struggles.

"Do you still think you can control everything?" Feng Jing said with a hint of amusement in his tone. "Your so-called freedom is just an illusion you created for yourself. You are nothing more than a slave to fate. Everything you do is just a game arranged by fate."

Feng Jing's consciousness suddenly shook. He felt an irresistible force devouring everything within him. All timelines, all possibilities, began to press in a common direction. No matter how hard he struggled, he could not escape this inextricable "cycle."

At this moment, Feng Jing suddenly realized that he might never be able to free himself from this vortex. He had always been pursuing "transcendence" and "ultimate freedom", but he had never thought that everything he did was part of his destiny.

He began to understand that the "truth" of the universe was far more complex than he had imagined. His struggles, resistance, and creations were all part of an endless cycle. Everything he experienced was beyond his control; it was a predetermined outcome.

Feng Jing's "existence" gradually returned to calm, the distortions of space and time beginning to weaken, and his consciousness returned to nothingness. But within that nothingness, a faint light began to flicker. That light, like a new star, burned quietly in the eternal darkness, as if heralding the beginning of a new cycle.

"Perhaps..." Feng Jing's consciousness echoed in the darkness, "This is my ultimate destiny. It can never be surpassed, but it will always exist."

Then, the light gradually disappeared, Feng Jing's "existence" disappeared again in the endless void, and the ultimate cycle of the universe began again.
