Chapter 295 Rune: I don't understand, but I'm deeply shocked.

How can we keep Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy from pursuing clues about beings beyond the gods?

Anyone else would have a real headache. The Guardians of the Galaxy have extensive experience escaping from prisons of cosmic scale, having done so more than once. Thor, on the other hand, is a powerful god. Finding a physical material that can hold him back for an extended period would be an incredibly difficult task.

However, for Rune, the solution was incredibly simple. He directly teleported the Dawn into the DC universe. As for why he didn't teleport it to Rune's own independent space, it was simply because there was no light in that independent space, only a sphere formed by a quarter of the cancerous universe Earth, and a few scientists still working on it. There wasn't enough food and water to sustain these great gods.

"Welcome to Kent Farm," Rune said softly. At first, Star-Lord and the others didn't realize anything was wrong; they just subconsciously thought that Rune had teleported them to Earth.

With a whoosh, Rune teleported them outside the spaceship again, and also retrieved the red ribbon from Gamora's body. Cytorak's gift was quite effective.

"This farm looks very well managed." Star-Lord looked around, and the endless cornfields reminded him of life on Earth. In the movies, Star-Lord was taken away from Earth by the Marauders when he was nine years old, but in the comics, Star-Lord stayed on Earth until he graduated from college.

Rocket Raccoon instinctively climbed onto Groot's shoulder, watching Rune warily. However, he didn't have many weapons left, only a few live ammunition weapons he had obtained from the Kree. In the eyes of a gunsmith of Rocket Raccoon's caliber, these standardized industrial products, which could be disassembled and assembled with various standard tactical equipment, were nothing more than garbage.

The other Guardians of the Galaxy members and Thor were also on high alert, looking as if they were facing a formidable enemy, but Rune simply left on his own, leaving the others somewhat puzzled.

"Hey!" Thor asked, after exchanging glances with the others, "Weren't you going to take me back to Asgard? Why did you stop fighting?"

Rune turned around and said, "No, I only need to ensure your safety, preventing you from searching for the mastermind behind this multiverse catastrophe. Now you have arrived in a new universe, one without the risk of colliding with other universes, so you naturally won't find any information about the mastermind."

Thor and the others looked radiant.

"What are you standing there for? Come along!"

Rune temporarily housed the Guardians of the Galaxy in the workshop, providing them with enough food and water each day. After all, these people were heroes that Rune was going to train, and the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy, especially the core members, were not like Spider-Man or Steve Rogers who were lazy and dissolute. They were quite accepting of their current situation where they didn't have to do anything and only had to worry about eating every day.

Thor is an exception, but after being beaten up several times by the runes, he rarely mentions it anymore. Odin's "fatherly love" is quite heavy.

The same applies to Rune's "friendship".

During the following period, Dr. Banner and the Beast also made progress.

The good news is that during the process of Rune turning a quarter of Earth into a stone giant and then back into a planet, the difficulty of mining many minerals was greatly reduced, including those needed for the construction of facilities such as nuclear reactors. Therefore, the people living on this planet will not have energy shortages.

The bad news is that Rune's actions have also caused the planet to lose most of its water, and many lands have become unsuitable for cultivation due to certain minerals. Rune has to make minor adjustments to the entire planet under the guidance of the Beast, and has also borrowed several members from the X-Men who can manipulate water.

"You should be thankful," Dr. Banner said, wearing a spacesuit. "A planet formed from a quarter of Earth can still form an atmosphere, although light gases like hydrogen might escape, and—"

The beast added, "And you also control temperature, geological activity, and the magnetic field, so atmospheric gas escape isn't that serious."

Rune nodded. Unlike the other two, he wasn't wearing a spacesuit, but just everyday clothes. Doctor Strange had taken the time to sew up Rune's levitation cloak. And you know what? As expected of a former medical doctor, the sewn-up levitation cloak looked almost exactly the same as before.

Next up, it's the beasts' turn to shine.

Rune chose Beast and Dr. Banner primarily because of their expertise. Dr. Banner's main research areas are nuclear physics and gamma radiation research, and he is in charge of the energy issues of the New World.

Beast is more adept at genetics and biochemistry. Although he once tried to eliminate his mutant genes, he ended up enhancing his abilities instead. However, this cannot overshadow Beast's talent in this area.

"The water content on this planet has met the requirements." Iceman approached Beast and whispered a reminder. As a veteran member of the X-Men and a mutant who can also manipulate water, he was naturally the contractor for Rune's project to fill the world's water supply.

After nodding his thanks, the beast dropped some strange capsules into the water, then looked at Rune and asked, "Could you help me stir it?"

Rune raised his hands, and the planet began to stir. The oceans raged, the rivers flowed backward, and the strange capsules dissolved in a very short time, their contents spreading outward as Rune's magic stirred them.

"Your request is very difficult," the beast said, looking at the still turbulent water. "For a normal person, finding a plant that can quickly absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen without sunlight is simply a pipe dream, but it is not impossible."

The man with blue hair smiled and said, "The first thing that came to my mind was the creatures in the deep sea. They can successfully evolve to be self-sufficient using geothermal energy. After conducting on-site surveys in multiple locations, I was surprised to find that this planet has abundant geothermal resources. When the Iceman and his team created the original ocean of this planet, I also commissioned them to help with the survey and create the creatures you need based on the seabed environment."

"Deep-sea algae that live in symbiosis with iron redox cycles to release oxygen, and can use hydrogen sulfide or methane to carry out chemical reactions and generate energy, thus surviving."

At this point, even the beast wanted to applaud himself, but he turned to look at Rune, hoping that Rune would say something about his exquisite creation. However, Rune's eyes were filled with confusion.

Wow, that's amazing.

The young man clapped his hands expressionlessly.
