Chapter 109 The Power of Will - Reality Distortion

"I'll take you to find someone," Rune said, still captivated by the magic of the levitation cloak.

He gently took the girl's hand, and the next moment, Raven felt as if she were passing through a tiny pipe. The strange sensation made her want to vomit on the spot, but her girlish modesty made her hold it in. Strangely, her trench coat seemed to sense her discomfort and gently rubbed her stomach.

"Put it out, it'll make you feel better," Rune said softly. Then, he watched as the raven vomited a colorful mess of liquid. It proved that even the most beautiful person isn't beautiful when vomiting.

After watching her finish vomiting, Rune casually took out a handkerchief and handed it to her. Raven blushed as she took it, wiping her mouth as she asked, "Who are we looking for?"

"Find a scumbag," Rune said. Before them stood an ordinary six-story apartment building. Its exterior walls were tinged with a pale gray by time, and some of the tiles had peeled off, revealing the mottled cement underneath. The building's structure was square and unadorned.

Rune gestured for the raven to follow, then ascended a wooden staircase. The exposed wood was a dull, grayish-brown, covered in dust and stains. The handrails were rough and worn, the paint peeling away to reveal the mottled wood grain. With each step, the raven groaned. However—

She glanced at the man ahead; the stairs he climbed were like concrete, making no sound. And earlier, he had clearly teleported openly into the street, yet no one seemed to have seen him. These questions left Raven scratching her head in bewilderment.

After reaching the fourth floor, Raven couldn't hold back any longer and asked her question.

Rune turned around. In the raven's eyes, he was tall and imposing, his hands behind his back, his posture composed and confident.

It was as if the whole world was under his control, and there seemed to be a subtle magical fluctuation in the air around him.

Although he was facing away from the sun, he seemed to radiate a light that was even more dazzling than the sunlight.

"Because I'm here," Rune said, seeing the raven's confused expression. "As long as I don't want other ordinary people to see me."

Then ordinary people won't be able to see me. As long as I tell this wooden ladder not to make a sound, it won't.

Professor McGonagall had previously stated that once Rune grasped the power of will, his spells would improve dramatically. And this is the result—he doesn't even need to cast spells; a single thought is enough to make mortals forcibly ignore him. Even if they see him on a camera, they'll ignore him.

Rune has already gained the ability to genuinely interfere with the entire world through his own thoughts. Although the Scarlet Witch next door has been able to warp reality since birth, her ability to warp reality is simply not on the same level as Rune's. Rune's ability to warp reality is merely a byproduct of his learning and continuous in-depth research into spells, while the Scarlet Witch's ability to warp reality is a gift from Hisos.

"If you can follow me and study diligently, you will be able to do this sooner or later," Rune said with a slight smile.

"I will!" Raven exclaimed excitedly. However, her excessive excitement caused her magical energy to surge uncontrollably. Rune, however, simply patted Raven's shoulder lightly.

"Quiet!" he said. Then, the wisps of black mist returned to the raven's body amidst a series of unwilling roars. But the biting cold around them reminded Rune and the raven that what had just happened was not an illusion.

Raven possesses immense and malevolent magical power that erupts when her emotions spiral out of control. Therefore, she was taught from a young age never to harbor excessive emotions. In the comics, Raven once nearly teleported Trigon directly into Azalas during a nightmare.

Rune's method of restraining those dark magic powers was terrifyingly simple: he simply suppressed them.

Thanks to his superhuman lineage, Rune's magic power increases every moment, to the point that he can now create over a dozen standard magic crystals. And if someone correctly uses a standard magic crystal, they can directly destroy a city.

"I'm sorry," Raven whispered.

Rune interrupted her: "You have nothing to apologize for. Your suffering comes from your father, not from your own problems."

This brought tears to Raven's eyes, and black mist rose around her again, but after Rune glared at her, it returned to the girl's body.

"Alright, the person we're looking for is on the floor above. Let's go quickly," Rune said.

Upon reaching the fifth floor, Rune knocked on one of the doors. He was met with a string of extremely offensive and abusive shouts. Only after Rune loudly identified himself did the door begin to ring.

A man opened the door, revealing a fawning smile: "Oh! Isn't this my good friend, one of the most powerful mages in the world, the great Puppet Master Rune? Please come in, please come in!"

Rune raised an eyebrow, looked at the man, and said, "Constantine, I have a girl behind me. Are you sure we can really go in now?"

Through the crack in the door, Rune saw several disheveled beauties, all of whom were familiar characters to him, such as 2B and Tifa. And, well, some of them were even limited editions he had previously released.

"Oh my god, wait a minute!" Constantine yelled, then slammed the door shut.

Raven hesitated for a moment, then cautiously tugged at Rune's sleeve. Rune looked at her, and saw the adorable little girl stand on tiptoe, lean close to Rune's ear, and whisper, "Isn't he a little unreliable?"

It's quite itchy.

Rune rubbed her little head: "Don't worry, at least he's pretty reliable for now."

After a long while, Constantine reopened the door, panting heavily, "Alright, you can come in now."

Rune glanced speechlessly at Constantine, then led Raven inside. The room reeked of a strange mixture of perfume and heather. A dozen or so women, now dressed formally, were either standing or sitting.

"Did I ruin your plans?" Rune teased.

"No, no," Constantine smiled brightly. "It was just a short pause, we can continue anytime. Did you call me because some limited edition item has just been released? Want me to help you promote it?"

"Don't play dumb." Rune stared at the man expressionlessly. "You know I wouldn't bother you over something as trivial as this."

Let's take a look at this girl.

At this moment, Constantine looked at the raven and whispered, "Is this what they call 'child bride' in the East? Isn't that illegal?"

Raven blushed, and the dark magic around her stirred for a moment before disappearing, clearly terrified by Rune.
